Phhacility Classic Standouts

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Saturday, February 3rd I attended the Hoopers On1y<strong> Phhacility Classic 3 </strong>and watched a few games at the Phhacility.&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading">I watched two local teams and here were the standouts which included numerous newcomers: </h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2340551' first='Dekwon' last='Brown'] Skyline Prep (Pictured)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>A strong framed point guard is a defensive stalwart. He has quick hands to rip pockets. He gets downhill with his strength, toughness and yo-yo handle. He understands how to changes speeds well and will drive and kick it right into a teammates shooting pocket. He can also hit the three in rhythm. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1217316' first='Gerron' last='Jr Graham'] Premier Prep Tucson</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>A good sized PG is stronger and bigger then a year ago. He gets downhill and handles contact much better plus his handle is improved in tight spaces. He will drive and kick it and throw up the court passes. He can hit the three off the catch and actually made a clutch-3 under 30 seconds.&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1306046' first='Alexander' last='Werner'] Premier Prep Tucson</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>A high motored wing forward is top of the food chain rebounder. He will score inside the paint with ball fakes and will consistently scores thru the contact. He is the heart and soul of the team.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1178304' first='Isaiah' last='Hill']</strong> <strong>Premier Prep Tucson</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The senior lead is hyper athletic for his position and loves to get downhill. He takes contact and the lefty is tough. The ball is on string for him combined with his breakneck speed to get to the basket. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2340899' first='Jesus' last='Duecker'] Premier Prep Tucson</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The marksmen of the Tucson team is clearly Duecker. He can drive it to the basket and handle a bump and score thru it with a sturdier frame. He is best when he is catching and shooting from the three and seems to like the corners.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1171749' first='JJ' last='Funk'] Skyline Prep</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>A bouncy power forward is a true rim runner. He can throw it down and has an elite motor to rebound. He has a chiseled frame and is very efficient around the rim to score with a nice touch. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2340550' first='Shontez' last='Anderson'] Skyline Prep</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>A newcomer by way of Syracuse, New York. He has a literal 40 inch vertical and moves well in space. He is that highly coveted rim runner with bounce, length and size. He will catch lob dunks and with rip thrus and finish high above the crowd. He gobbles up all balls off the glass and runs the floor.   </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2340897' first='Malique' last='Moss'] Skyline Prep</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>An athletic combo guard transferred in from Polaris Prep in Ohio. The lefty is super athletic to defend on the ball and loves getting downhill. He is a streaky perimeter shooter but definitely more than capable. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
