Timberland vs. Troy (February 29th)
This is a high level first round game between two teams who aren’t far from each other. A classic 4 seed vs. 5 seed toss-up game. Andrew Moore Andrew Moore 6'0" | PG Troy | 2025 State MO and the Aydelott brothers are some of the best players on the floor. These are guys that carry the scoring load for their respective teams. Both squads are very talented at shooting from three. Being able to defend the perimeter will be key for the victorious team.

Two high octane offenses from the southwest region of the state will face off in this notable first round game. Republic is simply a solid program that completes each year. Brenley Hagewood Brenley Hagewood 6'0" | PG Republic | 2025 State MO is an underrated talent in the 2025 class who can score 20+ points with relative ease. Battle vs. Grain Valley (February 29th)
Not many would have expected this game when we were at the midway point of the season. At the time Battle was rolling and looked to be one of the best teams in the entire state. They still possess a high ceiling but have lost some tough games as of late. Grain Valley on the other hand has started to play better and a big reason is the return of Eli Herbert Eli Herbert 6'3" | PG Grain Valley | 2026 State MO . He’s a dynamic shooter in the 2026 class and it’s awesome to see him back on the floor.
Lee’s Summit North vs. Lee’s Summit (February 29th)
It’s not often you see an inter conference, intercity matchup for a first round district game. That’s exactly what will be taking place in Independence on Thursday night. These two teams know each other very well and that’s going to make for a strategic battle. Look for Tre Paulding Tre Paulding 6'4" | SG Lee's Summit North | 2026 State MO to be a player who has a breakout night. For Lee’s Summit it’s Jaylen Lockhard that carries the scoring load.
