PG Play
Tevarii was one of the more impressive players on the floor. He was playing a very poised game and he showed game management and control. He used a lot of change of direction and change of speed to get to the rim and even to get some space out in the perimeter. He shot the ball well and he was not over shooting. He was driving to the rim and absorbing contact. He would be an ideal D2 type of a prospect.
Really quick guard that can get to spots quickly. When he does not dribble himself into trouble and just rips and goes he looks great. He could be a player that could pick up the entire length of the floor. He has a lot of tools that could impact the game.
Game Changers
Fundamentally sound kid that does a lot of things that college coaches will love that you do not see on the stat sheet. His ability to engage a defender when he is posting up is next level. He gets low and provides a solid target for his guards to pass him the ball. If you push him off the block he can go over both shoulders off that block. He is relentless on the boards and he has a motor that is constant.
Utah Valley Prime AAU picked up a good one in Koli because he has so much upside. He was given the freedom to play his game and he did so well in so many ways. He was attacking the rim and he was playing the passing lanes and getting out and showing that he could finish with ease above the rim. He was shooting from deep and in the midrange. With more and more reps he gets better, so look for him to make an absolute huge leap next year, you can see it.
Highlights
Glue Guys
You can see how valuable Young is to this team as a bigger guard that has a lot of IQ and knows when to slow things down and when to attack. Young was surgical in all that he was doing last night. He could be an under the radar player that could land at a small school.
When Chamberlain came in off the bench he looked like a solid player and he was attacking the rims almost better than anyone on the floor. Might have had 5 points or so but he brought a lot of energy to the game. He was getting tips and he was defending well.
Surprise Play
Good player that was just solid. He was getting put backs he was taking the ball off the bounce to the rim. He has a little bit of size as well off the ball and he can hurt you with his shooting. Solid next level player.
Tia has gotten taller and he is stronger than he gets credit for. He is roaming off the ball and helping out when he is not defending the post. He is attacking the glass and he has a good upside. surprised at how much of a ceiling he is showing.
