Has a skill that is always in high demand. The sophomore from Reed got some burn in the JV game, showing a good shooting stroke, knocking down jumpers in catch and shoot action.
Was really impressed with his fundamentals and IQ. Snow, used some solid shot fakes to lift defenders allowing him to get to the bucket. He has a knack for getting buckets, and did a tremendous job finishing his layups on drives.
Rittenhouse was a player that really understands how to play the game. He never seemed to get to sped up, playing with pace, and showing a propensity to make good decesions. In addition to his IQ, the freshman impressed with his handle, and playmaking ability against JV competition.
Hoffman was one of the most impressive freshmen a saw during the week. Look for him to make an appearance in the next update of the freshman rankings, as he impressed with his defensive ability. He has tremendous instincts, using them to win the game with a steal and layup. In addition to what he did on the defensive side of the ball, he showed some advanced footwork, which he highlighted with euro’s on his drives to the basket.
It’s hard to look at Bryant and not see former Lousiana Tech star, and current Philadelphia 76er Kenny Lofton JR. He plays a lot like his doppleganger too. He showed terrific footwork, scoring down low, and even managed to make plays for teammates off the bounce. He plays hard and has good ball skills. The low post threat is an intriguing prospect.
Birch was an intriguing prospect to lay eyes on. He has good size and proved to be a fluid rim runner. The post who towered over opponents, was able to mix it up on the interior for rebounds, while winning 50/50’s for his squad.
It was difficult to get an exact height on Almond, but he had good size. The wing was also one of the more productive players on the floor. He socred both inside and outside, doing a good job of finishing drives and putbacks.
Rodriguez had himself a game in the JV contest. The sharpshooter, was able to help his team to a win, hitting what seemed like numerous big shots. He knocked down multiple threes in the game, proving to be a deadly sniper in catch and shoot action.
