Brito was slotted into the starting lineup for the Storm this season and has thrived regardless of Cleveland’s backcourt depth. His extreme quickness and instincts make him valuable on both ends of the court, and he’s become one of the better passers in 5A. As district play continues, Brito will continue to serve an important role on a contending Cleveland team.
Tre Cowles – Guard/Forward – C/O 2025 – La Cueva
La Cueva has turned it on as of late, and Cowles has been a great source of instant offense off the bench. He’s a knockdown shooter with a quick trigger that gives him the green light to pull often off the catch. His height and length give him versatility on the defensive end, and he can guard any position 1-4.
DJ Spruell – Guard – C/O 2025 – Highland
Highland doesn’t go deep in their rotation, but when Spruell comes in the game, it’s like he’s been shot out of a cannon. He’s all over the court all at once and is a strong defender, creating fast break opportunities with his active hands and quick feet. Spruell has become better at finishing at the basket at full speed, drawing fouls and and-ones in important moments of the games.
Marcus Quezada – Forward – C/O 2025 – Atrisco
Quezada has been strong off the bench and in the starting lineup for the Jaguars. He’s a super-athletic forward who primarily plays in the paint, and has carved out a very crucial role for Atrisco, grabbing rebounds and getting putbacks. His vertical ability has been a great addition to their paint presence and will play a large role moving forward in Atrisco’s success.
Tavon Archibald – Forward – C/O 2024 – West Mesa
West Mesa does not go deep in rotation, but off the bench, Archibald has been great as a jack-of-all-trades type player. He can play from anywhere on the floor and has thrived as an off-ball scorer who can sneak behind the defense and allow for others to create for him. West Mesa continues to be a dark horse team to make a run at the playoffs, and Archibald will be a big part of their success.
Kayden Decker Kayden Decker NM – Forward/Center – C/O 2026 – Rio Rancho
Decker might be 2026’s best shot-blocker and has only improved as the season has progressed. He’s played both the 4 and the 5 for the Rams and has thrived in both spots, able to protect the paint well in district play. His finishing around the rim has gotten better as well, and he’s been a consistent source of offense around the basket as of late.
