Porter is an interior presence for the Spartans, who doesn’t need to score to impact the game. He brings energy, effort, and toughness on the inside. He rebounds at a high rate, and while one of the keys to victory for the Spartans against Shades Valley was to control the boards, Porter did his part in making sure his squad competed on the glass. He runs the floor, challenges shots at the rim, and doesn’t mind getting physical and mixing it up in the paint. He was vital in leading his team to the win in the area championship game.
Jeremiah Williams Jeremiah Williams 6'0" | CG Shades Valley | 2026 State AL (6’0/CG/’26/Shades Valley)

Jeremiah, AKA Curl, had a very good night shooting the rock against a feisty Mountain Brook defense. He made some huge trey balls throughout the game that kept the Mounties close until the Spartans pushed the lead out in the 3rd quarter. This was a game that Curl should have looked for his offense a little more as Jeremy Chatman Jeremy Chatman 6'1" | SG Shades Valley | 2026 State AL struggled to get it going and Rashad Bryant Rashad Bryant 6'6" | PF Shades Valley | 2025 State AL struggled with foul trouble. Curl is doing a great job orchestrating the offense and taking his moments when they come, but the Mounties will definitely need more from him if they are to be the team that many believe is a team most teams don’t want to play late in the playoffs.
Cedric Summerhill Cedric Summerhill 6'4" | PF Muscle Shoals | 2024 State AL (6’3/G|F/’24/Muscle Shoals HS)

Cedric had a monster night in the match-up against Athens, as his play was huge throughout the contest. In an exciting contest from start to finish, Cedric showed his dominance on the inside as a scorer. He has a physical build, plays physical, and makes opposing post players earn everything in the paint. He did show his versatility on both ends of the floor. Offensively, he showed that he could stretch the floor by knocking down the trey ball. Defensively, he showed his ability to defend multiple positions. If he can bring the production and effort he brought as they continue their march in the playoffs, they have a good chance of making a deep run.
Isaiah Estep Isaiah Estep 6'4" | SF Fayette County | 2025 State AL (6’4/F/’25/Fayette County)

Isaiah did all he could to get his team over the hump in the match-up against Carbon Hill. He is a swingman who can score the rock, and he showed his scoring prowess as he dropped 20 points in the contest. Isaiah can keep defenses honest with his long-range shooting, but he can also put it on the floor and create his opportunities off the bounce. His play stuck out immediately as he was at his best when looking to put the ball in the hole. He left it all out on the court and will be a key piece to the puzzle as he prepares for his senior year.
Jayden Jones (SG/’25/Carver-B’ham)
Jayden is a high-energy wing who has proven to be a multi-level scorer but struggled in the area championship game against Ramsay. He had good looks, but they just weren’t falling. He is tough off the bounce and makes plays in traffic. Jayden is a straight-line driver who loves to get to the rim. He is tough in transition and also is a reliable catch-and-shoot three-point shooter. If he can find his rhythm, he can be a game-changer as Carver travels to play Madison Academy in the sub-regional.
Jaquille Malone Jaquille Malone 6'4" | SF Ramsay | 2024 State AL (6’5/PF|C/’24/Ramsay HS)
IG: jma10n2
Jaquille is a lengthy interior presence with good positional size at the high school level. His wingspan aids his ability to battle on the glass and to shoot over smaller defenders on the low block. He has versatility on the defensive end of the floor, and he was able to offer a lot of resistance against Carver’s post players. He runs like the wind and really thrives in transition, where he does a good job finishing. On a team loaded with scoring options and playmakers, Jaquille doesn’t force the action to get his, but he plays team ball and provides what the situations require possession after possession.
