Stores was fantastic, hitting big shots off one or two dribbles, finishing around the rim, and rebounding the ball at a high level as usual. He finished with 22 points in the victory. Point guard Tai Turnage Tai Turnage 5’10” | PG St Raymond’s | 2025 State #112 Nation NY led the Ravens with 23, knocking down a couple of big threes early and then hitting a handful of foul shots to ice the game in the final minutes.
The sophomore wing guard is tasked with a lot, often having to guard opposing bigs or wings. After a big start from St. Ray’s, it was Lewis who got to the rim and scored at will- sparking a Hayes run to close the lead. He finished with a team high 16, while 2026 G Jermel Thomas Jermel Thomas 6’0″ | PG Cardinal Hayes | 2026 State NY and 2024 G Adam Njie both finished with 15.
The CHSAA “AA” player of the year showed up in a big way on Tuesday night to the tune of 24 points, 7 rebounds, 5 assists, and 2 steals against Scanlan. The Crusaders move the ball extremely well, as Braylan Ritvo Braylan Ritvo 6’6″ | SF Stepinac | 2024 State NY , Jasiah Jervis Jasiah Jervis 6’3″ | SF Stepinac | 2026 State NY and Hassan Koureissi all finished in double figures as well. Junior guard Danny Carbuccia Danny Carbuccia 6’1″ | PG Stepinac | 2025 State #59 Nation NY was able to get all of his teammates involved as usual, finishing with 10 assists.
The unsigned senior show fans and coaches alike what kind of scorer he can be when he demands the ball and hitting shots from beyond the arc. While Scanlan ultimately went down, Rodriguez scored a team high 19-including 10 in the 4th quarter. The Crusaders will regroup and get ready for inter-sectionals where they’ll be the #3 seed out of the NY division.
