Rolling Meadows came in at 19-7 while Glenbrook North traveled on the road with a 21-5 mark. From the jump Glenbrook North came out firing from three hitting a trio of them to get out 9-0. They would never look back. Rolling Meadows got as close as seven in the fourth quarter, but couldn’t get over the hump as Glenbrook North won 63-52. Lappin is Small College Star
A 2024 prospect that needs to be garnering more attention at the small college level is Sam Lappin Sam Lappin 5'10" | PG Glenbrook North | 2024 State IL of Glenbrook North. All this kid does is shoot and put up points. Did it over the summer with All-In Athletics and was at it again in this one dropping a 30 piece on the road to get a victory. Lappin is a point guard that is a lethal shooter hitting five threes in this one. Quick and consistent release. Mixed in mid-range jumpers, scrappy takes to the rack, and a coast to coast finish off a steal. This kid is a winner that will score a lot of points for a D3 or NAIA program!
Glenbrook North Post Play and Shooters Shine
Inside they got a big lift from 2024 post Patrick Schaller. The big man is a tight end commit to Northwestern on the gridiron, but is also a very effective hooper. The first thing that stands out is his passing as he hit shooters and cutters all over the floor. Soft touch scoring around the cup and hit a three from the top of the key for 10 points. Julian Marta was a big part of the three point barrage draining three of them for 9 points. Owen Giannoulas showed toughness from his lead guard spot notching 7 points while Jordan Cohen had a couple baskets for 5 points.
Miletic and Duffer Carry Load for Rolling Meadows
The role players didn’t do much for Rolling Meadows in this one as it was mostly their top two scorers that did the damage. Not his best game, but highly ranked 2025 point-forward Ian Miletic Ian Miletic 6'5" | SF Rolling Meadows | 2025 State IL showed some of the tools that make him intriguing at the next level. Elite size and skill combination on the wing. Creates off the bounce, gets into mid-range jumpers with ease, and can hit threes off the catch. Also had a LBJ block and a steal which he took the other way for a dunk in a 13 point night. Jack Duffer Jack Duffer 6'1" | PG Rolling Meadows | 2025 State IL is a 2025 point guard who has a stellar float game. Hit them one after another in this contest along with a three for 17 points.
