These players are full of intrigue, see below for more info...

[player_tooltip player_id='2347911' first='Bryce' last='Miller'] |6'3 G| Hillsboro-Central Valley

Miller plays both JV and Varsity minutes for the Burros. He has good handles going both ways for a freshman and he understands the game well. Bryce goes hard to the hoop and can finish through contact. Miller has run the point but is also effective off the ball. He gets open shots with all the doubling/tripling that happens on the Burro BIGs. He has even hit a few big shots. Bryce is a nice-sized baller and he plays older than his age.

[player_tooltip player_id='2347907' first='Cale' last='McEvers'] |6'3 SF| Bismarck Century

Cale is a very explosive athlete who has had a great freshman year. His length and athletic ability make him a good defender and an elite rim protector. Offensively, he is raw but has very good upside with his athleticism. He is someone who will always have his fingerprints on the game because of the intangibles he brings to the table. McEvers is a multi-sport athlete to keep eyes on.

[player_tooltip player_id='2347908' first='Dean' last='Miller'] |6'5 C| Grand Forks Red River

Miller is a 6'5” forward who can play inside and out. When he is aggressive on the boards and around the rim he is a tough challenge for defenders. He is also a productive rim defender with good instincts. I recently watched a clip where Miller caught, took one dribble, a step, and rose up to easily for a 2-hand DUNK. This kid oozes potential!

[player_tooltip player_id='2347912' first='Emerson' last='Marum'] |6'0 G| Bottineau

He is a starter for the 12-7 Bottineau Braves. Any time a 9th grader starts for a Class A team, it is impressive. Emerson is known as a talented shooter, especially from beyond the three-point arc. Marum will also put it on the floor and attack if the D is out of position or he has a mismatch. [player_tooltip player_id='1144617' first='Carson' last='Haerer'] is the DUDE for Bottineau and is putting up crazy numbers. Every time Emerson can hit a triple, it takes that much more pressure off the star senior. It will be interesting to see what the young shooter can do in the playoffs.

[player_tooltip player_id='2254493' first='Grady' last='Larson'] |5'8 G| Kidder County

He is having a nice season, comes off the bench, and has also started for the Wolves varsity. Larson is a capable shooter and he handles the rock well. He is shooting above 30% from beyond the arc this season. Grady is tough and he plays much bigger than his size. He has proven himself as a cerebral baller with sharp court awareness. Expect Larson to continue his development as adds on the inches, his shooting and passing will also improve. Keep track of this baller from Kidder County!

[player_tooltip player_id='2277851' first='Hayden' last='Enger'] |6'3 SG| Lisbon

Enger puts in the time and he understands basketball. He is starting to grow into his body and his game is developing nicely. Hayden is a hard worker and is becoming a well-rounded baller. Enger is known as a selfless teammate who drives & creates or slashes to score. His jump shot continues to upgrade, as he adds on muscle, Enger could be a dangerous baller in Class A. He is a student of the game, a gym rat, and things are headed in the right direction for this young steed.

[player_tooltip player_id='2347920' first='Jason' last='Champion'] |6'6 C| Alexander

He is a large player who is mobile, coachable, and his wingspan is expansive. Champion plays JV and in the game I watched, he subbed into varsity action in the 2nd quarter. Jason looks to have a nice turnaround baby hook shot. He catches well around the basket and finishes smoothly for a BIG 6'6" freshman. I was impressed with Champion's D when he switched to a small guard, moved his feet, and kept him in front. Jason also altered and changed shots around the rim with his big meathooks. I like his effort and agility as he saved a ball from going out of bounds with extra effort. Jason also showed quick reactions with O-boards. PHD is high on this Comet and we believe he has a high ceiling!

[player_tooltip player_id='2283517' first='Josh' last='Lanning'] |5'9 G| Washburn

Josh is a very versatile wing player. He does a good job defensively for the Cardinals. Lanning is a great slasher and has a very high basketball IQ. He always wants to find out a deeper understanding of why Washburn is doing certain things on the court. Josh is constantly asking questions to help him understand basketball concepts. He is a heady player who is getting better each day. Look for big things from Lanning in the off-season as he will be a starter next year for the Cards.

[player_tooltip player_id='2347885' first='Kaleb' last='Benning'] |6'0 PF| Wilton-Wing

He is out the rest of the season with an injury, but Benning would have been a major varsity contributor this year. Kaleb is extra strong and physical on the basketball court. He plays bigger than his 6'0" height and he uses his body well. Kaleb is a sharp/smart player for such a young age. His outside shot has developed nicely and his work ethic is second to none. Benning rebounds extremely well and has a nose for the ball. He runs the floor hard, can slash left or right, and has great footwork with his back to the basket. His outside J might need some fine-tuning, and he will have to work hard to rehab his injury. One thing is for certain, Benning will be a huge part of the Miners next year. I see Wilton-Wing as a Top 10 team entering the 2024-25 season. Write down the name, [player_tooltip player_id='2347885' first='Kaleb' last='Benning'], he is sure to impress you next winter.

[player_tooltip player_id='2284889' first='Lander' last='Guy'] |5'10 SF| Four Winds/Minnewaukan

A talented and up-and-coming Indian to watch in the coming years. The 4Winds coaching staff is excited about Lander's potential. This winter, Guy has proven himself as a good defender who works hard on the court. Every team needs a tough defender and it looks like Lander will be one of those players. He needs to continue to work on his shooting, playmaking around the rim, and ball handling. Expect all of that to happen in the coming months and for Guy to be a staple in the 4Winds program for the foreseeable future.

[player_tooltip player_id='2284890' first='Wambli' last='Yankton'] |5'10 SG| Four Winds/Minnewaukan

Wambli is long for his 5'10" height. He stands out on the court with his athleticism. He is another up-and-coming defender. Yankton is one of the top defenders for his age group in the Indian program. Like most young players, he needs to improve his shooting and ball skills. That will certainly happen! The 4Winds coaching staff has high hopes for Yankton, he has the potential to be a very nice baller for the next 3 years.

[player_tooltip player_id='2347910' first='Will' last='Ness'] |5'8 G| Oak Grove

Will has had an up-and-down year for OG and has played mostly C Squad & JV. OG has asked him to handle the ball quite a bit more this year and he is improving. Ness is a hard-nosed kid. He does not back down from a challenge and is going to be a good defender for OG down the road. Will has a nice-looking shot, especially from mid-range. This has been a big year for Will as he has had to come out of his shell a bit, since OG has 2 other freshmen that have been moved up. Will has always had Kai and Aidan handle the ball on his team, so now that he has had to do that more, it will only help him in the long run. The Grovers are confident that Ness will keep progressing and make positive things happen this summer & next season.
