He’s probably a point guard standing 5’10, but plays good off ball. He’s fast going up and down the court. He can knock down jumpers long, and short. He’ll drop open 3’s, if you don’t get out to cover along the perimeter, his off the dribble, mid-range jumper goes in. He has foot-speed, and active hands to stay close on defense.
He’s a good 3pt shooter from the corners, and other spots along the perimeter. He shoots with confidence, not too worried about misses because he expects to make them. We’ve seen him get hot and drop 7 in an early season game. He’s long, wiry probably still growing. He has room to add other pieces to grow his game.
Highlights
He’s a good all around guard, he can run point and work off ball. He gives good effort defending, never giving up on the play making you shoot or drive with a hand in your face, he’ll try to block lay-ups. The lefty is a good ball handler with vision to find mates around the perimeter, and while driving for kick-outs and dump offs. He uses his body to finish strong going to the basket. He’s good in transition, passing up, or filling lanes. 13ppg during the season.
Joseph is a solid body point guard with good ball handling and passing skills, he’s confident, probably a pass first type, finding cutters, but has shown he can be aggressive looking for his shot. He’s shown himself to be a rising point guard in this class with continued development. He often uses his body, and shifty handling to attack defenders from different angles, including transition, he’s physical and ready for contact, he has leverage. We’ll see more
We don’t see a lot of Johnson, but when we do he always shows us something. He’s a contributor from the guard spot, running point nor working off ball, starting or coming off the bench. He has good ball handling and passing, he sees the court, he’s a ball mover. He’s fast going up court filling lanes, or finding open spots to put up a 3ptr. He has a good dribble to freeze the defender driving into the paint.
He’s a fast playing guard with a good shot. He’s fast attacking defenders in transition on his way to the basket. He’s a bit shifty with the handles, getting the defense off balance with pull-up jumpers off the dribble, or putting up 3’s in rhythm. He can drop a 3 setting up in the corners, and along the perimeter in half-court sets. He’s an alert defender playing the passing lanes and getting his hands on loose balls to get transition lay-ups.
When we see the long wing Bradford play, he gives good effort defending hard out front, and on the sides making you work to get by him. He’s 6’3 with long arms, and good foot speed. He’ll go get a rebound, run the court both ways, and finish in transition. Offensively he’s a mover and a cutter slashing looking for the pass to finish around the bucket. His perimeter game is coming around, the last time we saw him he hit a couple of corner 3’s.
