Continue ReadingIsaak was off the radar in the Spring and Summer playing in SoCal so we didn’t seen much of him. He reminded us real quick, he’s one of NorCal’s top prospects in this class. He’s a rising guard that can fill the nets when he has the ball. He’s a threat to score with hard dribbles into the paint, he’ll stop and pop off the dribble from mid-range and he’ll drain 3’s if left open. He can get his shot when he wants it.
Highlights
He transferred to Stuart Hall, after sitting out he wasted no time establishing himself as a rising prospect in this class. Standing 6’5 the long wing prospect has improved his jump shot considerably. He’s knocking down mid-range jumpers and 3’s off the dribble, spotting up on the catch. He’s driving and creating shots for himself and other. He’s most likely in the double, double column.
He’s taken his game to new highs this season. The solid body G/F is hard to guard when he gets things going, he’s been a steady performer on a 23-3 team. He’s got the big body and dribble to have his way in the post area, finishing with strength or a soft touch off the glass. He’s steadily improving as a perimeter player who can dribble pass and knock down 3’s. He’s the team leader in rebounds with 8 per game.
There’s an old saying we use when you have a guard like Grayson from Oakland. He’s got that Oakland Guard Mentality. He’s as tough as they come. Starting from the beginning of the season he’s been playing like one of the top guards in NorCal. His ball handling, vision, passing, and playmaking skills are regularly on display. He has a good understanding of when it’s time to take it up a notch.
He seems to have found that level of consistency needed to take your game to a higher level. He’s playing good defense up top trapping, and generating steals with hustle. He’s always been a good shooter from behind the 3-point line. He’s using his dribble to pull-up for mid-range jumpers that go in, he’s taking it strong to the rim. At 6’3 he’s getting his fair share of rebounds, running the court, and finishing with dunks on occasion.
He’s grown a bit since we last saw him. He’s a strong aggressive guard with an improved skill set for the guard position. He shows strength using his dribble getting to his spots for pull-up jumpers at mid-range. He’s almost looking for contact on strong drives into the paint. He’s rebounding at a good rate. His passing, ball handling, and movements are good. He’s capable of knocking down 3’s all over the court.
Walker continues to carve out his own path as a rising prospect in this class. His production is up across the board. He’s using his 6’4 frame, and toughness to battle for rebounds, and defend multiple positions. He’s strong on the attack using improved ball handling. He’s a real threat to drop 3’s in the corners and along the perimeter or coming down in transition.
Highlights
The explosive Vixon comes flying to the rim for rebounds, transition dunks, and finishes after receiving a pass. He’s shown he’s capable of using his dribble drive and speed to attack the rim from the top and baseline for finishes around the rim including dunks. He gets rebounds, pushes the break. He has foot speed to defend.
