The role players of last year have become the floor leaders and stat leaders of this year. And the superstars have done nothing short of be spectacular.
Zyon Hawthorne Zyon Hawthorne 6’0″ | CG Woodrow Wilson | 2026 State WV has absolutely been on fire! His las seven outings stat lines look like this: 16pts 4ast 3rebs; 9pts 9ast 8rebs 1stl; 24pts 9ast 6rebs 2stl; 14pts 5ast 3rebs 3stl; 16pts 6ast 4rebs 2stl; 17pts 7ast 2rebs 1stl; 16pts 9ast 6rebs. Most impressive are the non-scoring stats, notably assists. Zyon would likely rate out as a point guard at the next level where he’s already received a Division I offer from Radford. Deservingly so seeing these kinds of numbers for a sophomore playing at the highest level of competition in WV.
Tyronn Paulin Tyronn Paulin 6’6″ | SF St Albans | 2025 State WV has continued to improve week to week with week 6 being no different. Paulin posted 15 pts, 13 reb in a win vs Parkersburg High. Paulin’s improvement should start to get him some consideration from college coaches given his size and good feet.

Ja’Quez Loveless is such a fun player to watch night in and out. Loveless brings so much energy on both ends and plays downhill. Recently posting 15 pts , 7 reb, 4 ast, 5 stl vs Riverside in a week 6 contest as well as 17 pts, 9 reb, 3 ast, 5stl vs a tough Hurricane squad the same week. Loveless continues to play baseline to baseline and pressure opponents on both ends.

Reid Fisher Reid Fisher 6’6″ | SF Winfield | 2025 State WV makes his debut in the week 6 report dropping 17 points, 6 rebounds, 2 assists, 4 steals, 1 block versus Ripley. Fisher is showing the kind of versatility and skill that college coaches will wanna see with his lengthy frame. Look for Fisher to start putting up these kinds of numbers down the stretch of this junior season.
Clay Robertson Clay Robertson 6’2″ | SG Spring Valley | 2025 State WV continues to be unstoppable. He dropped 23pts, 7reb, 5ast and 3stls in a win as well as 25pts, 5reb, 5ast and 3 stls in a tough loss both in week 6. Robertson’s stock continues to rise and will see some serious attention in recruiting in the offseason.
Nate Rodriguez Nate Rodriguez 6’0″ | PG Parkersburg | 2025 State WV continues to produce in high volumes no matter the opponent. Rodriguez put up an eye popping stat line vs St Albans with 32 points, 8 rebounds, 6 assist, 2 steals. Those of you who’ve seen St Albans play know that they have super quick and athletic guards which poses a challenge for any point guard that faces them.
Ashton Arthur Ashton Arthur 6’0″ | CG Independence | 2026 State WV makes his return and with a bang by posting 18 points, 7 rebounds, 4 steals, 3 assists, and 1 block in a week 6 battle vs Roane County. Arthur has quickly made a name for himself with healthy stat lines throughout this season. A versatile two-way guard who shows great basketball IQ and court presence.

De’Shad Williams De’Shad Williams 6'0" | CG South Charleston | 2026 State WV
De’Shad “Shaudy” Williams is having himself an outstanding sophomore campaign. Once again performing at a high level vs Riverside with 16 points and 4 assists. Williams is a skilled and strong combo guard that scores at every level, but is most dangerous off the bounce. Has the ability to also be an elite defender that will help rate him to a college level guard.
Isaac Meddings Isaac Meddings 6’0″ | CG Wayne | 2025 State WV continues to pace the Wayne Pioneers squad and be a problem defensively for opposing coaches. Week six Meddings posted 16Pts 2Reb 1Stl and 1 block vs Chapmanville as well as 22Pts 5Reb 2Ast and 2Blk Vs Grace Christian. Meddings as most know by now is one of the state’s elite shooters and will continue to open his own recruiting doors with consistent outings.

Landon Sanders Landon Sanders 6’1″ | PG Bridgeport | 2025 State WV makes his return to the report with a solid 16 points vs Grafton in week 6. Maybe not eye popping scoring but the fact that Sanders is the lead horse of a Bridgeport team that’s absolutely rolling under the radar most recently with a win vs. a super talented AAAA Jefferson squad.
Eli Campbell Eli Campbell 6’0″ | CG Midland Trail | 2024 State WV posted a couple solid outings in week 6. vs Sherman 16 pts, 4 charges taken, 3 rebs, 3 asst. as well as vs Nicholas County with 17 pts, 7 assists, 3 charges taken, 2 rebs. Campbell continues to pace the MT squad that are stacking up wins quickly. Campbell should be a next level player with a game that has very little weakness.

Ethan Williams Ethan Williams 5’10” | PG Independence | 2024 State WV says HELLO again to the WV high school basketball scene. Williams who’s returning from a devastating knee injury has finally started to get his juice back and get his shooting stroke zeroed in which was no more evident vs Greater Beckley with scoring a whopping 26 including 7, yes 7, triples. Williams is an exciting and spunky point guard that will put daggers in you from deep if given the opportunity. We’ll definitely keep tabs.
Ethan Collins Ethan Collins 6’0″ | PG Nicholas County | 2024 State WV had a huge game in a tough win versus Midland Trail. Posting 18 points including three from behind the arc. Collins has steadily made his way into recruiting circles with his consistent play and good shooting.
