With the high school season in full swing, it's time to take a look at some of the top available and underrated seniors in the state. Here's a look at part two of some of the best unsigned players in the Northern VA area.

Donovan and his brother make up one of the top front courts in the NOVA public school system, and he's been one of the top all-around bigs in the area over the past few years. He can really impact the game across the board on both ends of the floor as he's a physical presence who can dominate the post on both ends of the floor, he can score it in the post and step out on the perimeter and he's a good rebounder and passer as well.

[player_tooltip player_id='1759718' first='Teddy' last='Morgan'] | 6'6” WG | Edison

Morgan is a big upside wing who has continually improved over the past few years, and is one of the best scoring wings you'll come across in the NOVA area. At 6'6” he has long arms and is a mobile athlete that allows him to get up and down and make plays defensively, he gets to spots off the bounce where he can rise up and knock down contested shots in the midrange and he can create his own shot and score it from all three levels as well.

[player_tooltip player_id='1580730' first='Dezmond' last='Hopkins'] | 6'0” CG | Patriot

Hopkins has one of the best resumes of any guard in the NOVA area, as he's helped lead Patriot to be one of the top teams in the area over the last three seasons and has made deep playoff runs, and they're looking like a favorite in Class 6 this year. He's a natural born leader who sets the tone on both ends of the floor and leads by example, he can create for himself and others off the bounce, he's an efficient scorer and he always seems to come up with a big plays when his team needs him to.

[player_tooltip player_id='1483033' first='Matthew' last='Shelton'] | 6'6” WF | Evergreen Christian

Shelton was a big time stock riser before he dealt with a string of injuries over the summer in an important time of his recruitment, but that doesn't negate the fact that he's one of the most intriguing available prospects in the state. At 6'6” he has developed from an undersized post to a true wing who can handle in transition and get downhill, he's a big time athlete who can play above the rim effortlessly and is a good shot blocker and he's improved his ball skills as well as his ability to guard multiple positions too.

Kenneth Deguzman | 5'11” PG | Potomac

Deguzman is one of the most polished and underrated guards in the NOVA public schools, and he's the type of player that may not get talked about a lot but if you check out his numbers against the other best guards in the area he has gotten the best of many of them. He's a slippery and shifty guard who can get to spots and make plays for others, he is a crafty finisher around the rim, he can create space and make tough shots and he's a pit bull of a defender who can guard the length of the floor too.

[player_tooltip player_id='1489078' first='Nijel' last='Howard'] | 6'8” PF | Fairfax Christian

Howard has been on our radar for years as an intriguing prospect with his mix of size and skill, and last year he had a breakout season leading them to a state championship and is on a team with a great chance to repeat this year. At 6'8” Howard is able to post up other big men with the ability to score over the shoulder with either hand, he can get up and down the floor with the guards and play above the rim and he thrives in the ability to step out and knock down shots at a good clip on the perimeter too.
