Also, that doesn’t count streaming games. We pride ourselves on putting in the windshield time and having boots on the ground. Those travels took us to one of the largest, and most unique, gymnasiums in the state of Indiana on Thursday night as Shelbyville played host to Indian Creek. The Braves being without star junior forward Landon Sichting Landon Sichting 6'3" | SF Indian Creek | 2025 State IN took a little bit of the allure away from this contest, but it was still a great Thursday night matchup between two successful teams with good talent.
Some quick scoring out of the gate from Caden Claxton Caden Claxton 5'10" | SG Shelbyville | 2026 State IN helped build an early advantage for the host Golden Bears, but Adam Crouch Adam Crouch 6'1" | PG Indian Creek | 2025 IN sparked an 8-0 run for Indian Creek that led to knotting up the score at 13-13 after the first period. In the second quarter, Mar Nicholson Mar Nicholson 6'4" | SF Shelbyville | 2026 State IN got hot for Shelbyville scoring nine points to build a 25-21 advantage heading into the halftime break.
It was all Shelbvyille coming out of the locker room. Kohen Myers scored all eight of his points in the third quarter as the Golden Bears jumped on top 46-30. From that point on they would cruise to a 68-57 victory. Indian Creek never quit and was able to get it to single digits late, but the comeback attempt never fully started. The win improved Shelbyville’s record to 10-6 while the Braves fell to 11-4.

Meanwhile, classmate Mar Nicholson Mar Nicholson 6'4" | SF Shelbyville | 2026 State IN finished with 24 points, 6 rebounds, and 4 blocked shots. In the loss for Indian Creek, junior guard Adam Crouch Adam Crouch 6'1" | PG Indian Creek | 2025 IN finished with 23 points.
