Class 1A
Team | Record | Previous Ranking |
1. Evansville Christian | 15-1 | #1 |
2. Christian Academy | 14-2 | #2 |
3. Barr-Reeve | 14-1 | #4 |
4. Tindley | 13-4 | #6 |
5. Greenwood Christian | 10-5 | #3 |
6. Orleans | 13-2 | #7 |
7. Indianapolis Lutheran | 9-5 | #8 |
8. Morgan Township | 12-4 | #5 |
9. Clay City | 14-3 | #9 |
10. Bethesda Christian | 9-7 | NR |
Evansville Christian remains the clear top team in Class 1A as they moved to 15-1 on the season. Christian Academy lost, but it was a very close 44-41 game against Class 2A Top 10 Providence so that did more to solidify their spot at #2 than anything else. Bethesda Christian has rattled off four straight wins to crack the Top 10. They haven’t lost to a 1A opponent this season.
Class 2A
Team | Record | Previous Ranking |
1. Brownstown Central | 16-4 | #1 |
2. Tipton | 16-1 | #3 |
3. Bishop Luers | 13-2 | #2 |
4. Providence | 12-3 | #5 |
5. Wapahani | 14-2 | #4 |
6. Southwestern (Hanover) | 16-2 | #7 |
7. Blackhawk Christian | 13-5 | #6 |
8. Park Tudor | 11-4 | #8 |
9. Parke Heritage | 14-4 | #9 |
10. Sullivan | 14-3 | #10 |
Brownstown Central has now won seven straight games and is proving that they deserved to be #1 at all times this season. Bishop Luers drops down to #3 just because Tipton keeps winning, but the Knights played Fort Wayne Wayne down to the wire in what was a great game. The Top 5 of Class 2A remains very, very good.
Class 3A
Team | Record | Previous Ranking |
1. Brebeuf Jesuit | 10-4 | #1 |
2. Heritage Hills | 15-2 | #2 |
3. Danville | 15-1 | #3 |
4. Scottsburg | 12-4 | #5 |
5. Bishop Noll | 13-6 | #7 |
6. Guerin Catholic | 14-6 | #4 |
7. Delta | 13-5 | #8 |
8. Evansville Memorial | 10-5 | #6 |
9. Yorktown | 10-7 | NR |
10. Princeton | 12-4 | #9 |
Another week, another difficult Top 10 to fill out in Class 3A. Brebeuf Jesuit is starting to be the clear choice at #1 and Heritage Hills is separating themselves at #2, but after that it gets difficult. It is hard to weigh some of the losses against the wins and nobody ever seems to come out of a week completely unscathed. This class really is wide open.
Class 4A
Team | Record | Previous Ranking |
1. Lawrence North | 17-0 | #1 |
2. Kokomo | 16-3 | #4 |
3. Westfield | 14-1 | #5 |
4. Noblesville | 15-2 | #6 |
5. Fishers | 16-1 | #2 |
6. Crispus Attucks | 15-4 | #3 |
7. Cathedral | 13-2 | #7 |
8. Greenfield-Central | 16-0 | #8 |
9. Fort Wayne Wayne | 14-3 | NR |
10. Richmond | 18-1 | NR |
We finally got some shakeup in Class 4A. However, Lawrence North remains at #1 after moving to 17-0. It might feel harsh dropping Fishers to #5 from #2 after losing just one game, but we simply didn’t not imagine a scenario where they would lose to Carmel. Crispus Attucks also fell a few spots with a loss to Ben Davis. Kokomo has now won seven straight games to move up to #2 and Noblesville looked excellent on Saturday in a dominant performance against Guerin Catholic. The Top 7 especially in this class are pretty high-level teams.
