With over 30 teams and hundreds of college coaches in attendance, the Hoop Hall Prep Showcase had tons of talent from all over the country and is always one of the top events in the country.
Here’s a look at some of the standouts from the California and Kansas schools in attendance.
Makhi Myles | 6’7” WG | Sunrise 2024
Myles was fantastic for Sunrise who had a good showing and he showed he could be one of the top post grad prospects in the country moving forward. At 6’7” the Starkville, MS native checks the boxes physically and athletically as he’s an explosive finisher and fluid defender, he got downhill aggressively and got to spots off the bounce to score it and he did a little bit of everything while making it look very easy. He finished with 17 points on 6-for-10 shooting from the field and 2-for-3 from deep in their win over South Kent and he finished with 23 points and 7 rebounds in their loss to Combine.
Ashton Williamson | 6’5” CG | Sunrise 2024
Williamson is another intriguing prospect who division one schools are all over with his blend of size, athleticism and production at the combo guard position. He has blazing speed in the open floor and a quick first step to get by defenders, he’s very athletic as a finisher and gets good elevation on his jump shot and he can make plays for others when he’s on the ball. He finished with 10 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists in their win over South Kent.
Corleone Dandridge Corleone Dandridge 6'5" | SG Sunrise Christian | 2024 KS | 6’5” WG | Sunrise 2024
Dandridge was Sunrise’s top glue guy off the bench in their games at Hoop Hall, bringing terrific energy on both ends of the floor and was perhaps their most efficient player too. The 6’5” wing got after it defensively getting deflections and making hustle plays, he made shots from multiple levels and he made a positive impact every time he was on the floor. He finished with 14 points on 5-for-6 shooting from the field in their win over South Kent and had 8 points on 3-for-4 shooting in their loss to Combine.
Maz Pikaar | 6’11” C | Sunrise 2024
Pikaar is a highly sought after prospect fro the Netherlands who has been very good so far for the nationally ranked group, and had a good showing in their win over South Kent. He’s a versatile player for his size who is mobile and can run the floor, he can step out on the perimeter where he’s a good shooter and passer and his length allows him to challenge shots at the rim and on switches. He finished with 14 points, 5 assists, 5 rebounds and 3 blocks in their win over South Kent.
Vuk Vucevic | 6’8” PF | Golden Gate 2024
Vucevic is another big man who is garnering heavy attention from division one schools of all levels, and there’s no doubting his long term potential moving forward. He has great size and mobility at the four spot but has a true wing skill set, as he can put it on the deck in the half court to create space, he gets downhill and is a big finisher and can absolutely drill it from deep even with a contest. He finished with 23 points on 5-for-8 shooting from deep and 4 rebounds in their win over Link Year.
Jaxon Olivera | 6’4” CG | Golden Gate 2024
Olivera is a type of guard I absolutely love to watch, as he has a mix of toughness and skill set that makes him a winner in many different ways. He can play on the basketball and gets downhill aggressively where he can play above the rim and finish through contact, he can knock down tough shots in the midrange and from deep and he made others better as well. He finished with 15 points, 8 rebounds, 6 assists and 3 steals in their win over Link Year.
Naquan Brown | 6’8” C | Golden Gate 2024
Brown is the perfect complient to Vucevic, as he’s a dominant inside presence who has a blend of new school and old school in his game that makes him very productive on both ends of the floor. He is a physical post player who brings toughness with his ability to use his frame and create space to finish, he can run the floor and is an athletic finisher and he is simply a load in the paint to deal with. He finished with 24 points and 6 rebounds in their win over Link.
