Who’s the Favorite in Class 6?
Most years there’s a favorite in Class 6. A team that stands above the rest and has the talent level required to win it all. This year, however, it’s a wide open race. Oak Park is undefeated in the state and has dropped one game to an Arkansas power, Little Rock Central. Cardinal Ritter is transitioning to Class 6 by playing a heavy out-of-town schedule and it’ll be interesting to see how they compete as we move into the new year and they play more local games. Chaminade is young but starting to catch fire. The Red Devils have great size and if they’re clicking this gives them a unique advantage. North Kansas City was surging but lost to Battle in the William Jewell championship game. Can Battle make a run? There are so many possibilities and questions regarding this class which will make for an interesting playoff season in March.
Gatorade POY – Who’s Separating?
In recent years this award has been given to players from all areas of the state. We have seen winners from Kansas City, Jefferson City, Springfield, and St. Louis in just the past four seasons. Could this be the year a player from the Southeast part of the state wins?

(Sikeston) are two candidates that come to mind. Each put up big stats and have their teams winning a bunch of games. Williams won the initial head-to-head matchup with his team. Could a small school player such as

. What could hold Rowe back is limited games as he missed the first half of the season. This race will take shape as we enter the playoffs.
