The first week in January PH NorCal attended 4 games in 3 days. On January 3 we were at Deer Valley for a 3pm game. Deer Valley beat Fairfield 56-54, later in the day we attended the league opener, where Alameda took the home loss to Bishop O'Dowd, 63-62. San Ramon Valley beat Berkeley 62-47 Thursday, Branham won at Christopher on Friday 56-53.

[player_tooltip player_id='2228015' first='Elijah' last='McCoy'] 6'1 2025 Guard, Deer Valley: The hard playing guard has good foot speed and movement to be a good defender. He got 2 blocks by not giving up on the play. He stands at 6'1 but did get a couple of key rebounds. He's fast filling lanes in transition. He used his dribble to create shots off the dribble, including a step back 3ptr from the top.

Kahlil Bernard 6'2 2026 Guard, Deer Valley: The lefty has a good first step on the drive, he has good lift on his mid-range jumper and going after rebounds. He does good attacking from the middle of the court in transition, a good court runner who finishes in transition. He plays well off two after planting and going inside. Helps with the rebounding.

[player_tooltip player_id='1420890' first='Johnnie' last='Jones'] 6'3 2025 W/F, Fairfield: He's fast, good attacking the basket in transition. Jones can attack from the high post and along the baseline using hard dribbles and strong finishes in different ways around the rim. He likes to rebound and push the ball in transition.

[player_tooltip player_id='1513025' first='Amarre' last='Davis'] 5'10 2025 PG, Fairfield: He does a good job of settling the team, keeping his dribble in half-court sets. He's a ball mover with good passing into the post, and vision to find cutters. Davis has good handles, and speed to go get his own baskets off the dribble, a paint jumper, transition lay-ups. He plays under control at a good pace.

[player_tooltip player_id='1772929' first='Zion' last='Moore'] 6'3 2025 Guard, Alameda: He's improved his shot making since the last time we saw him. Moore started hot knocking downs 3's from different spots. He used his body and dribble taking it to the basket from the corners with a jab or two. He had 3-3's early for a good start. He has good size to rebound, and finish through contact at the rim.

[player_tooltip player_id='1572945' first='Josh' last='Green'] 6'1 2025 SG, Bishop O'Dowd: Green is coming into his own as a prospect. He's a good 3pt shooter who's looks a bit more confident this season putting up shots. He's a heady player who makes good decisions, along with being a ball mover on the court.

[player_tooltip player_id='2024596' first='Chris' last='Jackson'] 5'8 2025 PG, Bishop O'Dowd: He's built solid with good handles. He's usually pushing and looking when the opportunity presents itself in transition. He has good vision, a pass first guard looking to generate offense with his passing. He has leverage to attack the paint off the dribble. He'll pull-up for a mid-range at times, he has a set 3ptr. Pesky on ball defender.

Dante Joseph 5'10 2026 Guard Berkeley: He's a physical guard with good handles handling contact when he makes his move towards the basket. He has good vision and balance attacking for kick-outs, paint jumpers, and finishes. He does well controlling the pace, keeping his dribble live in half-court. He hit a 3 off the dribble. He's a solid body with improving skills for the PG position.

[player_tooltip player_id='1530585' first='Luke' last='Isaak'] 6'3 2025 Guard, San Ramon Valley: He pretty much went into takeover mode after trailing at the half. He's an excellent shooter from mid-range out past the 3point line. What we saw was his aggressiveness with the ball. He attacks hard, under control with his dribble from different areas, and in transition. He has a nice mid-range game off the dribble. He plays in the flow. 25pts

[player_tooltip player_id='1983545' first='Matthew' last='Bass'] 6'3 2025 G/W, Christopher: He's a rising prospect with an improving skill set. He showed he could take the defender off the dribble, attack from different areas using a minimum amount of dribbles, and balance. He dropped a couple 3's spotting up along the perimeter. He has a mid-post game. He'll have to bulk up a bit to better absorb the contact.

Jaxen Robinson 6'5 2025 Forward, Christopher: He's an active and physical prospect who can handle the bumping and banging that goes on around the rim. He has a solid body good strength and determination going after rebounds, unofficially he had 14 rebounds, 2pts short of a double, double. He has a free throw jumper. He's one of the first to hit the floor for loose balls.
