For quite a few years now, Junior Youth Phenom has hosted an annual MLK tournament at the famous Boo Williams Sportsplex featuring some of the top programs from the east coast and this year was no different. The class of 2030 is starting to make their presence known on the national level which turned out to be a great opportunity for us to learn about some from the Mid-Atlantic area. Nasir Coleman exemplified relentless effort and determination every time he stepped onto the court in Hampton, VA at the 2024 Junior Youth Phenom MLK Kick-Off. His tenacity and intensity were palpable, as he consistently gave his all in every play. Coleman’s remarkable agility allowed him to glide effortlessly down the court whenever he possessed the ball, showcasing his exceptional athleticism. Additionally, he distinguished himself as a scrappy player on both ends of the floor, never hesitating to dive for loose balls or contest shots.

Carter Cooper left a lasting impression in Hampton, VA at the 2024 Junior Youth Phenom MLK Kick-Off. with his impressive offensive skill set, particularly his ability to knock down shots with consistency. His confident shooting stroke and scoring instincts stood out among his peers, demonstrating a keen understanding of spacing and timing. Cooper’s versatility on the offensive end allowed him to excel in various scoring situations, whether it be from beyond the arc, mid-range, or attacking the basket.
