It's not just cold outside. It's ridiculously cold. Dangerously cold.

Which is the perfect time to take a look at some guys who can bring the heat. Here are some guys who can get hot and score points in bunches (in alphabetical order):

[player_tooltip player_id='1962894' first='Luke' last='Albers'], 5-foot-11 guard, 2025, Cunningham:

One of the top guards in the small school classes, Albers has been consistently hot this year. He's been held to under 20 points just once in eight games. Albers gets it done in a variety of ways and can get some big point totals in a hurry.

[player_tooltip player_id='2314813' first='Tamir' last='Anderson'], 6-foot-3 forward, 2024, Highland Park:

There aren't many guys who embrace the role of “shooter” like this guy. He loves to snipe away from deep, and he just has the attitude of a gunslinger. Anderson has had a couple of games with seven or more threes already this season. The Scots have been blowing out opponents so badly, it's hard to gauge where they are as a team. But one thing we know: Anderson will heat it up like few guys can.

[player_tooltip player_id='1378440' first='Micah' last='Deaver'], 6-foot-1 guard, 2024, Olathe East:

As slick and as smooth as any guard you'll find, Deaver glides around the court getting to jumpers and floaters and creating offense for others off the bounce. He's a consistent scorer, but look at the 49 he scored against Blue Valley West to see just how hot this guy can get.

[player_tooltip player_id='1785100' first='Jack' last='Donovan'], 5-foot-11 guard, 2026, Rossville:

Not many sophomores get the green light to pull the trigger when they want. But Donovan is a mature scorer who isn't afraid of the pressure. He attacks in transition and gets to the goal, where his athleticism permits him to convert a variety of tough shots. On the perimeter, Donovan can get to shots and knocks them down even though teams know it's coming.

[player_tooltip player_id='1962890' first='Brady' last='Hurla'], 5-foot-10 guard, 2025, St. Marys (pictured):

It's pretty impressive what Hurla is doing. Graduation has turned over the Bears roster, leaving him the top ball handler and distributor as well as the most important scorer on the team. In other words, the opponents know exactly what's coming. But Hurla finds opportunities to get shots at all three levels. He turned in a couple of 30-plus point games prior to the break.

[player_tooltip player_id='2321600' first='Sherron' last='Woodberry'], 6-foot-2 guard, 2025, Olathe West:

Olathe West has a lot of weapons. It seems like it's someone different every night to have a big outing. But there are not many more skilled offensive players out there than Woodberry. He's got good size and athleticism and a honed set of tools. He has been known to break out for threes in bunches.
