Basha, Sunnyslope, San Tan Charter and Ironwood took the trip to California and competed at a high level.
Here were some of the Forward standouts
Darius Wabbington Darius Wabbington 6'10" | C Sunnyslope | 2027 State AZ Sunnyslope
The big can face-up to the three, he has a floater game and will score on hook shots and mid-range jumpers off the dribble. He can fall away in the post and he will rebound in and out of his area. Some were calling him a young Brook Lopez type.
Elijah Summers-Livingston Elijah Summers-Livingston 6'7" | PF Basha | 2026 State AZ Basha
A live bodied forward who loves to sit in the dunkers spot and finish. He scores on lob dunks, offensive rebound put backs and hook shots around the basket. He is a shot blocker and rebounder and plays with high energy.
Jacob Shimizu Jacob Shimizu 6'2" | SF Basha | 2024 State AZ Bahsa
A high motored wing forward who defends multiple positions and scores inside and out. He can fall away from his defender and score. He can shoot it from the perimeter and shows toughness on both ends of the court.
Josh Dillard Josh Dillard 6'4" | SF Ironwood | 2026 State AZ Ironwood
The forward on the starting-five. He can score thru contact despite his leaner frame and is active on the glass to rebound. He can rip thru with either hand and is good off the pick and roll game.
Jase Benjamin Jase Benjamin 6'1" | SF San Tan Charter | 2027 State AZ San Tan Charter
A strong football frame is athletic and does a lot for the Roadrunners. He defends nearly every position on defense, he is a very good rebounder, boxes out bigger players, makes good passes and can shoot the three off the catch.
Christian Warren Christian Warren 6'4" | SF Basha | 2024 State AZ Basha (Pictured)
The wing forward can get hot from the three off the catch when he is in rhythm. The team’s glue guy will rebound, make a perfect pass and defend. He plays multiple positions on both ends of the court and handles it like a point forward. His senior leadership will be needed come playoff time.
Cullen Schreiner Cullen Schreiner 6'6" | SF Basha | 2025 State AZ Basha
A bigger wing forward is a catch and shoot three point sniper. He comes off the bench and is always shot ready and moves without the ball. He will have a bigger role next year but he may be that key zone buster this season.
