The senior started the week with a solid 10-point performance against Del Valle before sitting out the second half. Later that week, Hymes was dominant against a 17-5 Canutillou002du002done of the best teams in El Paso. The Chapin guard recorded a game high 17-points, scoring at all levels, while giving away nothing defensively. The sophomore point guard was pivotal in the Huskies win over Canutillo High School as he scored a season high 17-points, hitting from mid-range, three, and the free throw line. Moreover, he did this coming off the bench, scoring all 17 of his points in the second half. That said, they are trending in the right direction with a current four game winning streak. Last Wednesday, they came up with one of their biggest wins of the season with a come from behind win against Da Vinci. Senior [player_tooltip player_id='1295241' first='Juan' last='Blanco'] was pivotal in that comeback. The Panthers went on a huge scoring run in the second quarter in large part to Blanco hitting three 3-pointers to give his team the lead. By the conclusion of the run/quarter, Gadsden never looked back. Junior Ben Story was fantastic in both wins with 22 and 21 points for back-to-back 20-point performances. On the season, Story has six games with 20 or more points. The junior wing was phenomenal this past Friday scoring a game high 27 points against Horizon. On the season, Thompson has eight 20-point games and six games with 25 or more points. That said, his most impressive feat of last week was against Burges in a Tuesday night home game. Thompson got off to a rough start with very few shots and calls going his way. As a result of that, Ysleta was playing from behind for most of the game.
