Bartlett High, a top 3 team in Tennessee (4A) no matter who you ask, shifted their schedule a little bit by adding two games against great opponents. Alas, these teams were not needed to make it a challenging schedule. Bartlett already played, and beat Independence, Fayetteville (AR), Faith Family (TX), FACS, Southwind, Brentwood Academy, Jackson Prep (MS), Cordova, and Collierville and still plans to battle with Montverde February 10th!

The Monster District

Bartlett lives in a ferocious district. To be fair, most of the ferocity annually comes from Bartlett. They are a terror to play. This year the competition is also great.

Cordova features two of the top 5 players in the state, regardless of class in Emerson Tenner and [player_tooltip player_id='1213161' first='Julius' last='Thedford']. Like Bartlett, they beat a great Independence team.

Collierville is a decent, sometimes good team, and they are 1-4 in the district!

Who are the New Opponents?

North Little Rock @ Bartlett (2/3)

North Little Rock is a power program from The Natural State. Legend Johnny Rice retired two springs back after winning six State Championships (2013-2015, 2018, 2021-2022) and four Coach of the Year awards in 10 years.

Nathan Clayborn is now the coach, coming from Marion High (AR). They do not have any 5-star players like they did with Nick Smith Jr. (NBA-Charlotte) or Ke'Lel Ware (Indiana University). Nick Smith Jr. did transfer into the school in a moderately controversial move his senior year, so he was not homegrown. From Arkansas, not really NLR.

Bartlett @ Huntsville (1/29)

Huntsville High runs out [player_tooltip player_id='1392153' first='Caleb' last='Harrison'] (Samford signed), a 6-foot-9 center. His teammate [player_tooltip player_id='1398759' first='Simon' last='Walker'] (6'5") is quite good too. Only a junior, Walker maintains offers from Auburn, Alabama A&M, Furman, Jacksonville State, and Lipscomb.

Harrison is ranked #3 by PrepHoops Alabama. In 2025, Walker is ranked #4, while [player_tooltip player_id='1599946' first='Brayden' last='Rivers'] (6'7") is ranked #9.
