No. 25 Brandon Benjamin Brandon Benjamin 6'4" | PF Anaheim Canyon | 2025 State CA-S | Mater Dei
The 6-foot-5 forward is one of the more skilled low-block scorers in the state and that has become even more evident now that he’s playing on a bigger stage at Mater Dei. Benjamin has elite footwork in the paint and touch around the basket and that, combined with his passing ability and versatility as a playmaker helped him jump into the top 25.
No. 28 Isaiah Johnson Isaiah Johnson 5'10" | PG Campbell Hall | 2025 State CA-S | Campbell Hall
Johnson has emerged as one of the best true point guards in the region which led to him making one of the bigger jumps in this rankings update from No. 41 to No. 28. The lefty is as crafty and smart as they come and his IQ when controlling pace and setting teammates up makes everything go for Campbell Hall. Johnson isn’t just a game-manager as he can knock down perimeter jumpers or get into the paint and score on floaters or runners.
No. 29 Jackson Cryst Jackson Cryst 6'10" | C Sage Hill | 2025 State CA-S | Sage Hill
Cryst is one of the biggest stock-risers in this update jumping from No. 65 to No. 29. The 6-foot-10 center, who is also a high level volleyball player, has shown that his future in basketball could be just as bright. Cryst is an elite defensive big man who uses his length, timing and ability to stay vertical to block and change shots around the basket. Cryst is still a work in progress offensively, but he has really good hands, touch and footwork around the basket.
No. 31 Jayden Smoot Jayden Smoot 6'3" | CG Rancho Christian | 2025 State CA-S | Rancho Christian
Smoot jumped up 30 spots from 61 to 31 based on his combination of athleticism and feel for the game at the point guard spot. Smoot has great size at 6-feet-3 and his burst of speed with his elite vertical athleticism makes him a high level finisher in transition and half-court offense. The junior could be one of the more under-the-radar prospects in SoCal’s 2025 class.
No. 37 Myles Walker Myles Walker 5'9" | PG Roosevelt | 2025 State CA-S | Eastvale Roosevelt
Walker has proven to be one of the smartest and most crafty point guards in SoCal regardless of class. The 5-foot-9 lefty is a high level defender who uses his quickness to speed up offensive players with on-ball pressure. Walker is also a viable offensive threat who has improved his perimeter jumper and can hit runners and floaters inside to make up for his lack of size.
No. 44 Danny Kennard Danny Kennard 6'10" | C Foothill | 2025 State CA-S | Foothill
Kennard jumped up 12 spots because he’s one of the more skilled true big men in the class. The 6-foot-10 center is a threat to make a jump hook out of a post up, can step out and hit face-up shots on the perimeter and is an improved rim protector.
No. 48 Jaiden Agbo Jaiden Agbo 6'1" | CG Rancho Christian | 2025 State CA-S | Rancho Christian
Agbo is another Rancho Christian guard who made a big leap as he jumped from No. 79 into the top 50. The 6-foot-1 combo guard is an elite transition athlete and finisher whose combination of explosiveness and physicality stand out in the open court. Agbo is also an improved shot maker on the perimeter who can create for himself or others off the bounce.
No. 50 Tong Mawien Tong Mawien 6'6" | SF St. Paul | 2025 State CA-S | St. Paul
Mawien made a small three-spot jump into the top 50 and the 6-foot-6 forward is one of the more active two-way players we have in the region. Mawien is a versatile two-way player who brings toughness and a high motor to the floor. The forward can attack the rim on straight-line drives and finish through contact and can hit perimeter jumpers with time and space.
