At Prep Hoops Kansas, we are always working hard to recognize players from the small school ranks. Here are five juniors who earned addition to the 2025 Class Rankings:

#63 - [player_tooltip player_id='2321590' first='Reed' last='Friesen'], 6-foot-6 center, 2025, Hesston:

Winning is a skill. The Hesston kids seem to have it. After winning three 3A titles in a row, there doesn't seem to be a drop-off this year. Friesen was an important role player for last year's champs, and that role has grown. In addition to protecting the rim and gathering rebounds, Friesen averaged 7 points per game in last year's tournament. He's doubling that output so far as a junior. He is posting 14 points and 8 rebounds for a team that is off to a 7-1 start.

#65 - [player_tooltip player_id='2321601' first='Eli' last='Jones'], 6-foot-2 forward, 2025, Norton:

Jones has steadily grown his production each season. He's a versatile player who can be considered a big guard or small forward. He can get hot from deep or produce in the midrange or at the hoop. He got more than half his team's points in Norton's lone loss which came against highly-ranked Goodland. Jones has been ultra-productive this year with 22 points and 5 boards per game.

#66 - [player_tooltip player_id='2321605' first='Brycen' last='Palmquist'], 6-foot guard, 2025, Council Grove:

Palmquist is a lanky guard who loves to get into the paint to shoot running jumpers and floaters. He has a niftiness with the ball to get to shots in traffic. He runs without the ball and finds open opportunities to catch and shoot with a quick release. Palmquist has upped his solid production as a sophomore, netting 20 points, 5 rebounds, 2 assists and 4 steals per contest.

#72 - [player_tooltip player_id='2321606' first='Henry' last='Hecox'], 6-foot-2 guard, 2025, Moundridge:

No matter what else he does in his career, Hecox will always have a shining moment in the 2023 state tournament to look back on. He hit the buzzer-beater to lift Moundridge over TMP. Hecox was huge in the entire 2A tournament, hitting 14-17 shots for 31 points. He's a gritty playmaker who gives Moundridge what it needs to win.

#81 - [player_tooltip player_id='2321617' first='Reid' last='Duff'], 6-foot guard, 2025, Erie:

Duff is the smaller half of a two-headed monster for Erie. Teaming with big man Ethan Dillenger, Duff has been highly productive as a play maker, helping the Red Devils get to a 6-2 start. He's registering 16 points, 6 rebounds and 3 assists as a junior. As a sophomore, he earned first team in the Tri-Valley League and was an honorable mention all-2A from KSHSAA.
