Gospich got off to a hot start early in the season, earning player of the game in one of NorCals top early season showcases. He’s a fundamentally sound prospect with good size to effect the game in the post, while improving his shooting from the 3pt line. His foot work and passing are notable. He’s an alert defender who’ll get rebounds.
Highlights
He’s a long wiry prospect with some presence on the defensive side in the post. He has the length to alter, and block shots, he’ll get his share of rebounds. He’s improved his post scoring with touch on the paint jumper, and his long strides across the lane to finish at the rim.
He’s an intriguing prospect with point guard potential. Excellent ball handler with good passing, he has speed, and strength to take it strong to the basket, and finish. His jump shot needs work, nevertheless he’s an impactful prospect on the court. At 6’2 he’ll rebound, his speed and strength allows him to guard multiple positions.
Highlights
At 6’6 he runs to spots around the perimeter, and coming down in transition looking to put up 3’s, if he’s open, not a lot of hesitation, he’ll make catch and shoot 3’s from the corners, and hit trailing 3’s in transition. He’ll drive the baseline for reverse layups. He’ll drive for paint jumpers, and finishes with either hand. He’ll help with team rebounding.
His numbers are up across the board, while playing a balanced game leading his team in scoring and rebounding. He’s a better 3pt shooter than we thought he was, he can operate along the perimeter, driving, and passing. He’s hitting paint jumpers, finishing around the rim with a solid body. He’s getting rebounds, and defending in the post.
Highlights
He’s athletic with improving skills. He’s 6’2 with explosive, and quick jumps around the rim for one handed tap ins, and rebounds. He excels in transition with his abilities to go high attacking the rim with defenders in the way. He’s a good ball handler with speed to get by defenders from the perimeter and top. He has a paint jumper, and range to hit 3’s. He has the speed and foot work to be a good defender.
He’s the teams leading scorer, and has earned MOP in multiple early season showcases. He’s a physical hard playing guard with an ability to put points on the board from different angles and in transition, using his dribble and body to get into the paint and finish through contact. He’ll drop a 3ptr, and get rebounds.
He’s a hard playing forward at 6’5. He’s effective in the post area on both sides of the court. He has good hops for rebounding, and finishing with touch around the rim with a shot that looks like a jump hook, it goes in. He goes up strong on the put back. He’s a good defender, fronting, side posting, using leverage, and not getting backed down. He’s a passer and screener.
We haven’t seen much of Buchanan since the early season showcase we attended. He’s a 6’8 prospect that spends time on the perimeter and working his way into the post on occasion. He hit the 3ptr from the corner and wings. He did some ball handling in half-court sets, brought the ball up court, and spent time working the mid, and low post areas.
He’s a muscular prospect with a good inside game scoring, and rebounding. He’s averaging 14pt, and 8rebs a game. He’s added a jump shot he can hit from the free throw area, along with an occasion 3 stepping out at the top. He’s a strong rebounder, has the body to bump and bang with others.
A good athlete that plays physical in the post area. He’s shown a versatile skill set moving on the perimeter and along the baseline, finishing strong on the drive. He did well attacking the boards for offensive rebounds the game we watched. He’s averaging close to a double double with 14pts, and 8 rebounds a game.
O’Brien might be the sleeper in this group. He’s a fast moving guard all ways moving and cutting looking for catch and shoot 3’s. He has to be accounted for, he can knock down 3’s from all around the perimeter. He has a good first step for drives or pull-ups off the dribble. He’s averaging 15pts a game.
