The only freshman on the State’s top sniper list did not disapoint. Nikolov shot it well all weekend, finding a home in the corner, allowing him to bury more than his share of shots off catch and shoot action.
Rowe is what I call a competitive shooter. He showed absolutely no fear all weekend, attempting big shots for his team. He has good form, but it was his long range ability that made him stand out. Rowe knocked down several NBA range threes this weekend.
Haupt was as efficient as they come this weekend. He is much more than just a shooter, as he displayed with some nice drives and finishes, however his shooting is the Piece de resistance to his overall offensive game.
What first comes to mind when I watch Thacker is grit and toughness. Then he starts to shoot it and you see the sniping ability. He was the top marksmen for Douglas, compiling multiple three three point make games.
I’m aware he wasn’t part of the Wild West Shootout event, however I stopped over to check out Reed take on Hug and am glad I did. The sophomore was magnificent, showing one of the best shooting strokes I’ve seen, en route to knocking down 4 threes in a victory.
Lee was the standout for the Cougars this weekend. A lot of it had to do with his ability to make shots. He was a consistent marksmen from behind the arc, knocking down multiple threes in both games I saw.
