Heading into their sophomore year, this list is still new and while we did our best we know things will change a lot as players continue to grow and develop moving forward.
Here’s a look at part one of the power forwards and centers in the rankings.
16) Yusuf Abbasi Yusuf Abbasi 6'3" | PF Lightridge | 2026 VA | 6’3” PF | Lightridge (#65 Overall)
Abbasi is a young forward with a lot of potential out of Loudoun and should see an increase in production this year. He plays with a high motor and has length to rebound and protect the rim, he does the dirty work and fights for loose balls and he has good touch around the rim as well.
15) Grady Hill Grady Hill 6'5" | C Robinson | 2026 State VA | 6’5” C | Robinson (#60 Overall)
Hill is part of a young Robinson crew to keep an eye on, and he’ll be an important part as he continues to grow and develop. He’s already shot up a couple of inches over the summer, he has good versatility with the ability to step out on the perimeter and make shots and he finishes well though traffic while attacking the offensive glass too.
14) Aiden Woodberry Aiden Woodberry 6'4" | PF St. Charles | 2026 TX | 6’4” PF | St. Charles (#51 Overall)
This will be the last time Woodberry is in the Virginia rankings as he recently transferred to St. Charles in Maryland, and he’ll be one to keep an eye on in the Waldorf area for years to come. He’s a versatile player with a good frame and athleticism to guard multiple positions, he can handle the ball well on face ups and he plays with a good motor and is willing to do all the dirty work too.
13) Medwyn Opoku-Arthur Medwyn Opoku-Arthur 6'5" | C Potomac | 2026 State VA | 6’5” C | Potomac (#44 Overall)
Opoku-Arthur is the younger brother of former Potomac star and current G League player Nana Opoku, and there’s a lot to like about him the same way his brother was when he was young and became a late bloomer. He has great length and is likely still growing moving forward, he’s a high motor guy who runs the floor and protects the rim with good timing and he shows a good base skillset that should continue to improve moving forward.
12) Cooper Sundra Cooper Sundra 6'9" | PF Paul VI | 2026 VA | 6’6” PF | Paul VI (#42 Overall)
Sundra’s older brother is a star for PVI and a Notre Dame commit, and if he can continue to develop like Garrett did he’ll turn some heads in the next few years as well. He is a rangy forward with long arms and he’s mobile with the ability to run the floor, he shows soft touch both around the rim and out to the perimeter and he can alter shots defensively too.
11) Kong Tangwa Kong Tangwa 6'5" | C Potomac | 2026 State VA | 6’5” C | Potomac (#40 Overall)
Tangwa is another young big at Potomac to keep an eye on, as he has a lot of upside as he continues to grow both physically and within his game. At 6’5” he has long arms and is likely still growing and will become more fluid when he grows into his body, he rebounds and protects the rim well and he brings a lot of energy to his team on both ends of the floor.
