<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>A blossoming Providence Christian Academy (PCA) program welcomed Webb (7-2, 3-1) to their new gymnasium Friday evening. The welcoming morphed into a rude one as PCA (7-2, 4-0) won, 77-57. The final horn did not even really sound, as <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2292618' first='Preston' last='Wade']</strong> dunked on <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2136934' first='Joel' last='Wyatt']</strong> with under 10 seconds left and the players kind of just ran to the fan section and everybody else just went home. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2164194' first='Judson' last='Bjornstad']</strong> (Union University signee) played exceptionally.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading">Hit 'em Early</h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>PCA won the first quarter with sizzling offense.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2292618' first='Preston' last='Wade']</strong> (PCA) fluttered a three-pointer up and in less than 90 seconds into the game. When his second fell later in the quarter PCA was already up 17-8.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:embed {"url":"https://twitter.com/PrepHoopsTN/status/1733279602804425155?s=20","type":"rich","providerNameSlug":"twitter","responsive":true} --> <figure class="wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter"><div class="wp-block-embed__wrapper"> https://twitter.com/PrepHoopsTN/status/1733279602804425155?s=20 </div></figure> <!-- /wp:embed --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2367403' first='Aiden' last='Bolden'] </strong>(PCA) played active and aggressive in the opening quarter. The sophomore looks like an undeniable future college player. Solid and strong Aiden attacked the lane with purpose and power.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='2164194' first='Judson' last='Bjornstad'] smashed the basketball through the cylinder upon catching a lovely fastbreak lob. Oddly, his teammates acted relatively unimpressed. His future dunks showcased the commonality of the bouncy two-sport star. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>https://twitter.com/PCA_MBB/status/1733300853828669504?t=5mwWiimHWOJm4FSa6uADHQ&amp;s=19</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading">Hanging Around</h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Behind the sharpshooting of <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1498078' first='Jax' last='Howard']</strong> (Webb) and <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2194624' first='Eli' last='Brown']</strong>, Webb did not get run out of the gym, despite their tepid start. Brown hit a couple of three-pointers. He also forced a turnover on PCA. Star senior [player_tooltip player_id='1140737' first='Taveon' last='Comage'] provided some poise. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>PCA's strength (size) let them down when defending in the second. Shorter guards burned by the perimeter defense that PCA set up. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The teams re-entered their locker-rooms with PCA up 31-28. The hosts really tailed off in the 2nd. Should have been up by 10. <a href="https://twitter.com/EliBrown_615">@EliBrown_615</a> (Webb) played fantastic in the 2nd Q.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>One of the plays of the night occurred midway through the fourth quarter as [player_tooltip player_id='2292618' first='Preston' last='Wade'] fired a snap pass to his slashing teammate. A layup appeared certain, but a retreating <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2136934' first='Joel' last='Wyatt']</strong> leaped impressively and swatted the ball into the backboard. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading">Rosters</h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Webb Feet Starters*</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>#1 [player_tooltip player_id='2194624' first='Eli' last='Brown']*<br>#2 [player_tooltip player_id='1498078' first='Jax' last='Howard']*<br>#10 Noah Brown*<br>#12 [player_tooltip player_id='2136934' first='Joel' last='Wyatt']*<br>#20 [player_tooltip player_id='1140737' first='Taveon' last='Comage']*</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>#4 [player_tooltip player_id='2367403' first='Aiden' last='Bolden']*<br>#5 [player_tooltip player_id='2164194' first='Judson' last='Bjornstad']*<br>#11 [player_tooltip player_id='1789095' first='Tryce' last='Grensing']*<br>#21 [player_tooltip player_id='2292618' first='Preston' last='Wade']*</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:table --> <figure class="wp-block-table"><table><tbody><tr><td></td><td></td><td>P<strong>CA</strong></td></tr><tr><td>21</td><td>*</td><td>[player_tooltip player_id='2292618' first='Preston' last='Wade'] W, F • Jr. • 6' 8"</td></tr><tr><td></td><td></td><td>Zayden Rauner So.</td></tr><tr><td></td><td></td><td>[player_tooltip player_id='2367419' first='Davis' last='Joyner'] G, SG • Jr. • 6' 4"</td></tr><tr><td></td><td></td><td>Tayshun Poole Jr.</td></tr><tr><td></td><td></td><td>Calvin MillerJr.</td></tr><tr><td></td><td></td><td>Anderson Breiner Fr.</td></tr><tr><td></td><td></td><td>[player_tooltip player_id='1947455' first='Peyton' last='Applegate'] So.</td></tr><tr><td>11</td><td>*</td><td>[player_tooltip player_id='1789095' first='Tryce' last='Grensing'] Jr.</td></tr><tr><td></td><td></td><td>Jackson Livesay So.</td></tr><tr><td>4</td><td>*</td><td>[player_tooltip player_id='2367403' first='Aiden' last='Bolden'] So.</td></tr><tr><td></td><td></td><td>Bradyn Mangus Fr.</td></tr><tr><td></td><td></td><td>Tyler Barrett So.</td></tr><tr><td></td><td></td><td>[player_tooltip player_id='2884193' first='Cash' last='Shipley'] Fr.</td></tr><tr><td></td><td></td><td>Jackson Stearns Fr.</td></tr><tr><td></td><td></td><td>[player_tooltip player_id='1549167' first='Craig' last='Lewis II'] Sr.</td></tr><tr><td></td><td></td><td>Joshua Meier So.</td></tr><tr><td>5</td><td>*</td><td>[player_tooltip player_id='2164194' first='Judson' last='Bjornstad'] Sr.</td></tr><tr><td></td><td></td><td>Baylor Allen Jr.</td></tr><tr><td></td><td></td><td><a href="https://www.maxpreps.com/tn/murfreesboro/providence-christian-academy-lions/athletes/abe-soucy/?careerid=gcqr5qmcml8g0">[player_tooltip player_id='2543761' first='Abe' last='Soucy']</a> So.</td></tr><tr><td></td><td>*</td><td><a href="https://www.maxpreps.com/tn/murfreesboro/providence-christian-academy-lions/athletes/davis-joyner/?careerid=et1h7nt9p8svf">[player_tooltip player_id='2367419' first='Davis' last='Joyner']</a> Jr.</td></tr><tr><td></td><td></td><td>Kenan Wilson Fr.</td></tr><tr><td></td><td></td><td>[player_tooltip player_id='2205025' first='Micah' last='Mustapha'] Sr.</td></tr></tbody></table></figure> <!-- /wp:table -->
