Region 3-4A features a few power programs: Cleveland, East Hamilton, The Howard School. This year will have a unique tenor.

The Howard School moved up to the largest school division. East Hamilton lacks the depth and talent of old, while Rhea County features their greatest team ever.

Rhea County vs. F.C. Boyd

This game was a mismatch from the jump. Rhea County figuratively punched them in the face immediately and never let up until it was clearly out of reach.

They lead 35-10 midway through the second quarter! [player_tooltip player_id='1942636' first='Kyler' last='Akin'] worked hard to get out in transition in the first half. He was the frequent recipient of outlet passes and F.C. Boyd simply did not track back on defense. Last year Kyler was a 12 ppg guy and his game is even more refined as a senior.

Cleveland vs. Bradley Central

Bradley Central pulled away from Cleveland December 8th, to win the rivalry's latest clash. The game taught several lessons. Cleveland is incredibly disciplined and mentally tough this year, but they lack the veteran talent of year's past. There probably is not a future college basketball player among the senior class, which is unheard of at Cleveland lately. Morell Schramm, Alex Hyder, Kley McGowan, Grant Hurst, Jasen Brooks, etc.

With defense and effort, Cleveland hung around, but they did not have the horses.

Bradley Central is a physical team and that suited this matchup well. Returning from an ankle injury, [player_tooltip player_id='1338482' first='Jackson' last='Ary'] was quite good. The 6-foot-8 forward showed off his soft touch in and around the lane. Senior football-star [player_tooltip player_id='1389706' first='Dee' last='Reid'] did plenty.
