Cazz Williams Cazz Williams 6’2″ | CG Fort Dorchester | 2024 State SC came out extremely aggressive in Fort Dorchester’s Poinsettia Bracket Opener vs Belton Honea-Path. Williams was consistently looking to get downhill to the rack but never lost sight of teammates either. He has a nasty crossover and used it effectively against the Bears on Thursday afternoon. Cazz finished with 20 points: 10 coming in the opening quarter and none in the fourth while he and his fellow starters were rested with the Patriots up big. He also added 3 assists and 2 steals to his impressive performance.
Jack had his work cut out for him going up against 5A JL Mann on Thursday Afternoon but he put up an impressive performance to help his Blazers pull out the close victory. Pfister had a strong 15 points and 8 rebounds. The majority of his scoring was around the basket but he did it in multiple ways. He was effective on the offensive glass with putbacks, in the pick-and-roll game as a roller, and from dump-off passes to the dunker spot.
Sprouse had the responsibility of picking up the scoring load for the short-handed Bulldogs on Thursday morning. He did so, and then some. He missed his first 3 attempts from behind the arc and then caught fire. Landon was very aggressive in hunting his shot and wasn’t shy from chasing his own shots in search of more points. In the first half, Sprouse consistently made opponents pay for lazy closeouts from the mid-range and behind the arc, and in the second half, he sought contact and earned his way to the free throw line. Landon had a stuffed stat sheet in Boiling Springs matchup with Wade Hampton putting up 23 points, 6 rebounds, 5 assists, 3 blocks, and 2 steals.
Roman has been steadily improving since the summer, and in the Red Raiders’ opening matchup with South Aiken he had another top performance. Cooley’s athleticism and ability to defend multiple positions are a couple of attributes that stood out. He had a dominant 16-point 12-rebound double-double and got on the end of some highlight-reel lobs in transition. Roman even show a consistent jump shot in his big performance Thursday Night.
Marshall was one of the most tantalizing prospects in attendance at the Poinsettia Classic. Listed at 6’5″, Zeke is a long and rangy wing that has natural skill at both rims. He made a couple of eye-opening plays including an emphatic block late in the 4th Quarter. Marshall is effective using the jump stop playing off two feet and has good touch on his jump shot. In Westside’s Semifinal Win over Sumter on Thursday, Zeke put up 15 points, 7 rebounds, and 2 blocks.
TJ Lewis TJ Lewis 6’3″ | CG Blythewood | 2025 State SC had a big game to help Blythewood pull away from South Pointe early in the other Carolina Bracket Semifinal. Lewis’ offensive efforts were balanced between shooting and facilitating. He tallied 11 points on 3-5 3-point shooting and 7 assists to boost the Bengals. TJ is also a solid defender with quick feet and hands. As the game went on, he used those attributes to create turnovers and get his teammates easy buckets in transition.
