Dylan Douangphrachanh Dylan Douangphrachanh 6'3" | SG Benson | 2024 State OR (2024 Benson)
Opened with the biggest scoring total so far this year with 52 points – and the 6-foot-4 senior, who’s known as a three-point sniper, did it only by making one shot from distance. He was 14-for-25 from the field and 23-for-27 from the free throw line as the Benson guard made a concerted effort to get to the basket.
Tanner Overby Tanner Overby 6'2" | PF Lincoln | 2024 State OR (2024 Lincoln)
Speaking of getting to the basket, that’s the bread and butter for Overby who other than Lincoln’s last game, a loss to Mountainside, has pretty much done whatever he’s wanted to off the dribble. The strong lefty finishes strong through and around opponents near the rim, but also has hit some mid-range jumpers, and has really converted at the free throw line. In his 43-point game against West Salem, he hit 21-for-22 from the stripe.
Aidan Rice Aidan Rice 6'2" | PG Beaverton | 2024 State OR (2024 Beaverton)
Rice noticeably added strength and athleticism to his game and it’s paid off for him with an improved ability to get to the rim and finish, especially through contact. He’s notched games of 21 and 33 points so far and in addition to his ability to score around the cup, he’s still capable of knocking down the long-range jumpers he’s been known for during his Beaverton career.
Sam Lewis Sam Lewis 6'1" | CG Nelson | 2024 State OR (2024 Nelson)
After the first game of the season where all of his 22 points came from regular field goals, Lewis has caught fire from three hitting ten of them in the past two contests. The lefty guard notched four threes in the win against Benson and then hit another six in a 23-point performance against Caldera, and has really benefitted from the play of freshman point guard Braylon Gaines Braylon Gaines 5'9" | PG Nelson | 2027 State OR who has been finding him on the perimeter.
Jackson Owens Jackson Owens 6'3" | CG Cleveland | 2024 State OR (2024 Cleveland)
Waiting his turn the past two seasons, Owens has been huge for Cleveland so far this season as the team’s go-to guy offensively. The 6-foot-4 wing continues to earn his living with his diverse mid-range game, whether it’s his patented jumper off the glass or one-handed floaters in the lane. In five games he’s scored a total 122 points (24.4 average) which currently leads all of 6A.
