The week of Thanksgiving I watched 50 teams play (48 from AZ) from Monday-Saturday at five different tournaments. I attended the Coyote Classic at Central and Camelback on Monday and Tuesday. I was at Mesa HS for the Fear the Hop tournament on Wednesday, The Valley Christian Tournament at Seton Catholic, Welcome to the Jungle at Gilbert HS on Friday and lastly I attended the The LV8 Invitational at Chandler-Gilbert CC on Saturday.

Here are some of the glue guys I viewed:

[player_tooltip player_id='1986830' first='Royal' last='Haley'] Cesar Chavez (Pictured)

The ultimate glue guy sacrifices his own points for the betterment of the team. He has a good feel to make passes, rebounds the ball well and has bounce. He is a very willing passer. He will score on alley-oop dunks, posting up a little and can distribute to his teammates from there. He will also defend the opposing top forward.

[player_tooltip player_id='1986869' first='Julian' last='Garcia'] Seton Catholic

A strong and tough guard likes to get downhill, post up and hit perimeter jumpers. Once he gets near the paint, he is usually scoring the ball with his strong upper body strength and body control. He is also a fantastic rebounder for his size.

[player_tooltip player_id='2282502' first='Jamar' last='Trotter'] Mesquite

One of the more intelligent players on the team seems to always make the correct play. He will do whatever is needed to win the game. He is highly skilled and gets to his spots from inside the paint, shooting threes and makes smart passes.

[player_tooltip player_id='1986858' first='John' last='Simcoe'] Sandra Day O'Connor

A tough power forward rebounds well in his area. He has good hands to rebound in traffic and will shoot it from the three point line. The lefty has a quick trigger and gains extra possessions with his motor to rebound.

[player_tooltip player_id='1180621' first='AJ' last='Seumanu'] Mesa

A tough forward who can play multiple positions. He is good getting downhill scoring thru traffic with his strong upper body frame and will hit the catch three with some range. He has big moxie to compete on both sides of the court. AJ earned the Most Outstanding Player for his stellar play.

[player_tooltip player_id='1128215' first='Jason' last='Higgins'] Sunrise Mountain

A good sized power forward with length and defensive capabilities. He mans the paint with blocking shots and rebounds at a good rate. He scores it near the basket with layups and dunks.

[player_tooltip player_id='1178336' first='Santino' last='Esquivel'] Carl Hayden

The toughness of the team can defend on the ball. He is tough and smart and will rebound, collect steals and take charges. He cuts offs his opponents making it difficult to score on. He can hit the corner three off the catch and is a gamer.

[player_tooltip player_id='1743210' first='Trmale' last='Tipler'] Queen Creek

A strong upper bodied scoring guard is tough to defend and will make plays and score downhill. He can pull-up from mid-range off the dribble and score on back door layups. He makes hard cuts in his arsenal and has the strength to score it in the lane.
