Junior guard Rowen Throrton has evolved into a complete scoring threat for the Tallasse Tigers this season. The talented 6’4″ playmaker is putting up staggering numbers, averaging 24.3 points per game while leading the Tigers to a 7-6 record so far. Throrton has an advanced scoring arsenal with the ability to shoot from all three levels as well as finish strong drives to the rim. He has scored 30+ points three times, including a season-high 50 points against Ellwood Christian. Even with the extra defensive attention, Throrton continues to produce big numbers as the clear go-to catalyst of the Tigers’ offense. His head coach has praised his work ethic and describes him as “one of the most dynamic scorers I’ve ever coached.” If Throrton keeps up this elite scoring pace, he could lead the surging Tigers back into playoff contention in the second half of the season.

Junior point guard Joshua Davis Joshua Davis CG Dallas County | 2025 State AL III has put together an absolutely monster season for the Dallas County Hornets, putting up eye-popping numbers that have him ranked among the statistical leaders nationally and in the state. The talented 6’4″ floor general is averaging 22 points, 4.8 assists, 7.8 rebounds and 1.8 blocks per game. Davis sits 13th nationally in blocks among guards, 2nd in Alabama in assists per game, and tops Division 4A in both rebounds and blocks for his position. His phenomenal statistical output has been a bright spot for a Dallas County team with a 5-7 record as they fight to get back into playoff positioning down the stretch.
Junior guard Braylon Patton Braylon Patton 6’1″ | PG Hueytown | 2025 State AL has turned in a prolific season for the Hueytown Golden Gophers, putting up big numbers that have him ranked as one of the top guards in Alabama and nationally. The high-scoring Patton is averaging 21.2 points per game for the Gophers, who sit at 9-6 on the year. His scoring average places him top 16 in the state and in the top 280 nationally. Additionally, Patton leads all Class 6A players in the state in points per contest. Though the Gophers have hit some midseason struggles, Patton continues to excel, lighting up the scoreboard regularly with his lethal outside shooting and crafty drives to the hoop. His coach has praised his competitiveness and burner-scoring mentality as Patton racks up huge offensive performances. If Patton maintains this elite offensive production, he could shoot and score Hueytown on a playoff run down the final stretch.

Senior guard Roshad Harris has been a leader for the Snook Christian Academy Eagles basketball team this season. Harris, a versatile 6’0″ scorer, has been instrumental in the Eagles’ playoff push, averaging 25.4 points, 7.2 rebounds and 4.8 assists per game. Known for his ability to create his own shot, Harris has caught fire down the stretch,leading into region play. Harris with a complete domination game has a season high of 45 points. His coach has praised his unselfish play and tenacious defense, and Harris hopes to go out on top in his final season suiting up for the Eagles.

Senior guard Rick Johnson has turned heads with his two-way play for the Oakman Tigers this season. The talented 6’3″ guard is stuffing stat sheets to the tune of 22 points, 3.6 assists, 4.6 rebounds and a staggering 3.8 steals per game. His steal average ranks Johnson in the top 212 nationally, 12th in the state of Alabama and #1 among Class 3A players. His defensive prowess and scoring punch has helped propel the Tigers to a 9-1 record so far. According to his coach, Johnson is “an absolute menace” on both ends of the floor, using quick hands and feet to disrupt passing lanes before turning those turnovers into easy transition buckets. With Johnson leading their tenacious defense and providing offensive firepower, Oakman hopes their star junior can spark a postseason run. If he maintains this elite well-rounded production, Johnson is cementing himself as one of the top overall players in the state beyond just Class 3A.
