December Recap: Top Rebounders

I watched him collect 11 rebounds vs. a McLean team that had the size advantage all across the board.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading {"level":4} --> <h4 class="wp-block-heading">[player_tooltip player_id='2340853' first='Sean' last='Curran'] | Whitman (MD) '25</h4> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Whitman has plenty of floor spacers but Curran is their bruiser. On any given shot attempt, he is a threat to follow up a miss for 2 easy points. Curran hauled in 16 boards despite being limited due to foul trouble at Churchill.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading {"level":4} --> <h4 class="wp-block-heading">[player_tooltip player_id='1489084' first='Sean' last='Donovan'] | WT Woodson (VA) '24</h4> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Donovan is the typical enforcer who gives you rebounds and blocks regularly. He double-doubled with 10 points, 10 boards, and a couple of blocks vs. Alexandria City. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading {"level":4} --> <h4 class="wp-block-heading">[player_tooltip player_id='1409272' first='Christian' last='Gurdak'] | Gonzaga (DC) '25</h4> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Gurdak is impossible to move once he establishes position and has long arms that help make it easy for him to tip the rock to himself. I watched him pull in 11 rebounds vs. Bishop Ireton. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading {"level":4} --> <h4 class="wp-block-heading">[player_tooltip player_id='1370504' first='Frankie' last='Mannino'] | Landon (MD) '25</h4> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>I ran out of room on my stat sheet when Mannino had 11 rebounds by halftime vs. Potomac School. He finished the game with 21 points and 15 rebounds. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
