Cleveland High and Bradley Central High met Friday. The two always grapple like brothers.

Instead of giving a play-by-play, this will focus on individual players and how they looked in this single game.

[player_tooltip player_id='1389705' first='Ramireon' last='Taylor'] (Bradley Central) played hard, assertive. The bouncy guard was imbued with confidence, slashing at-will. He did meet resistance from time to time, but it slowed his progress little.

[player_tooltip player_id='2265965' first='Tyrese' last='Stovall'] (Bradley Central) is a new name/game to me. Stovall did some things well. He rebounded and altered a couple shots. Looked a little stiff and at-times lost. Good, physical basketball body.

[player_tooltip player_id='1338482' first='Jackson' last='Ary'] (Bradley Central) returned this week from high ankle sprain, and he is not fully healthy yet. It showed. He made a fluid turn-around to attempt a banked 8-footer. Unfortunately, he did not have the customary lift on his shot. His right ankle looks decent, not 100% at all. Jackson holds two offers: Trine University, Belhaven. Colleges will obviously want to see him at 100% before they extend a new offer. It is tough. Hosting rival Cleveland is a can't miss game, but you also want to showcase your best self. Ary made a lovely turn-around later in the first half.

[player_tooltip player_id='1389706' first='Dee' last='Reid'] (Bradley Central) played with his customary explosiveness. Reid is a football guy on paper, but nobody inserts more tenacity into these basketball games. His athleticism was hard for anyone to match. Likely because he plays football his shooting skill lags behind most top seniors. His three-pointer to end the third gave Bradley Central a lead, 34-33.

[player_tooltip player_id='1477573' first='Maguire' last='Evans'] (Cleveland) played pretty well. It was not his best game, but his best games have been tremendous. Evans court awareness was fantastic. Looked smooth finishing a lefty layup on the break. It would have been nice to see him at the free throw line more, considering he is an excellent shooter.

LJ Adams (Cleveland) was integral to Cleveland's success heading into the final quarter. Adams' toughness and strength made things difficult for Bradley Central when they rebounded. Adams also plays football.

[player_tooltip player_id='2101745' first='Baraka' last='Ndegwa'] (Cleveland) is getting better. He was passable most of the night, but honestly the older guards kind of bullied him in spots. The handle was sound. Needs to figure out how to deter drivers better.

Germycah Jordan (Cleveland) hit a fluid pull-up late int he game. He missed his next one. Good intensity.
