Leading up to the nation’s prestigious event, Prep Hoops Florida scout Ross Van De Griek will be providing an in-depth preview from several teams in this year’s field. Next up, we will be featuring the Mariner Tritons who are making their first appearance in the event since 2016.
Head Coach: Ryan Hercek, 5th Season
Opening Game: vs Westminster Academy- Monday, 12/18 at 7:00 p.m. ET
The 5-11 senior guard is a competent guard who makes the right reads on the offensive end displaying his great court vision. Kelley does a great job when it comes to finishing at the rim as well as can bring a dangerous knack to his perimeter shooting. On the defensive end, he does a great job whether it comes to guarding on and off the ball at a high level. Look for Kelley to be very active on the glass as he has great athleticism and can push the basketball up the floor in transition.
The 6-0 senior guard does a great job at pushing the basketball up the floor in transition as he utilizes his speed to get to his spots. On the defensive end, Lewis does a great job when it comes to applying pressure on the ball and covering all 94 feet. On the offensive end, Lewis is strong on the attack where he is unafraid to finish at the rim while drawing contact and getting to the free throw line.

The 6-6 senior combo forward has a ton of versatility in his game where he can battle on the glass against bigger opponents using his length, as well as penetrating up the floor in transition. Hercek is a viable three-level scorer on the offensive end where he uses his footwork to get to the open spots. On the defensive end, Hercek uses a good combination of his size and frame where he can cover a lot of ground.
The 6-3 senior wing is a big-bodied prospect who makes havoc of finishing around the rim whether it’s off the bounce or off the catch. Jimenez has also improved his handle where he can initiate the offense getting his teammates involved as he is a strong passer. He is also very active when it comes to keeping possessions alive as he uses his length to battle on the glass as he can score off put-backs on either side of the basket. On the defensive end, Jimenez plays with a ton of versatility where he can guard on and off the ball at a high level.
