Green Level High (7-0)
The Gators remain the favorite still in the Southeast Wake Conference and they’re unbeaten in conference action already with a 2-0 record. They defeated Panther Creek this past Friday, 65-57. Tye Cain, Isaac Ericksen Isaac Ericksen 6'8" | SF Green Level | 2025 State NC , Trey Manhertz Trey Manhertz 6'6" | PF Green Level | 2024 State NC and Israel Eatman Israel Eatman 6'4" | CG Green Level | 2025 State NC have developed into quite formidable opponents to go up against in the 919 area over the years and it’s starting to show on the hardwood. Green Level has been the team to beat so far as January approaches. They’ll face Riverside-Durham on the road on Monday night before the Holiday Break.
Holly Springs High (6-1)
Will James Jr Will James Jr 6'4" | SG Holly Springs | 2025 State NC is putting up career numbers as he continues to lead the Golden Hawks in his junior season. He put together 30 points, seven rebounds and six assists, scoring the 14th 30-point game in school history, to open the Southeast Wake Athletic Conference schedule with a victory over Green Hope. Jake Cackovic Jake Cackovic 6'7" | C Holly Springs | 2025 State NC also put together his fifth double-double on the year with 14 points and 10 rebounds in the victory over Green Hope. They’ve relied heavily on James’ offensive exploits to lead things in 2023-24. They’ll host Leesville Road at home on Tuesday night in non-conference action.
Middle Creek High (4-4)
Middle Creek High is just 4-4 on the young season but they’re 2-0 so far in the Southeast Wake Athletic Conference following a 62-55 victory over Apex Friendship this past Friday. The Mustangs got big performances from Yasir Hall Yasir Hall 6'4" | CG Middle Creek | 2025 State NC (23 points) and Greyson Land Greyson Land 6'3" | CG Middle Creek | 2025 NC (22 points) to lift them to victory. Oataobie Okafor also posted seven blocks in the frontcourt. Middle Creek High is a competitive bunch that’s already gotten two victories in conference action. Don’t be surprised to see them pull off an upset or two.
Panther Creek High (5-2)
Panther Creek is 1-1 so far in the Southeast Wake Athletic Conference standings but there’s no need to panic. They’re a well-coached bunch under head coach Shawan Robinson and have made runs in the state playoffs over the past few years. He knows how to get his group to peak at the right time and an early loss to Green Level should already be a motivating factor as the bulk of conference play approaches in January.
