Wakefield High (8-0)

The Wolverines look like the team to beat in the NAC 6 as non-conference play has them sitting at 8-0 currently. They defeated Northern Nash High 68-49 and unsigned floor general [player_tooltip player_id='1707193' first='Syncere' last='Burnette'] is playing some of his best basketball. He's shown his development in controlling the pace and distributing the ball as he's posted 16.4 PPG, 6.4 APG, 5.6 RPG and 3.6 SPG on 39 percent shooting from deep and 55 percent shooting from the field. Taj Boone-Chambers has emerged as well on the wing. He's produced 9.0 PPG and 2.9 RPG. Unsigned senior guard Chris Harris has been their X-Factor defensively as well. They're a disciplined group who have shown they can compete regardless of opponent so far.

Knightdale High (8-2)

Knightdale High is playing strong under first-year head coach Antonio Watson. 2025 guard [player_tooltip player_id='2289353' first='Isaiah' last='Green'] has shown he can lead the way in their backcourt while others like [player_tooltip player_id='1631161' first='Ibu' last='Adewumi'] have filled the void in other facets of the game. Green leads the team in scoring (12.5 PPG) and steals (3.9 SPG) while junior [player_tooltip player_id='2299818' first='Jamari' last='Williams'] leads the way in assists with 3.7 APG. They're a well-rounded group that's slowly learning how to play together and it's shown in the results. [player_tooltip player_id='2283174' first='Brandon' last='Adams'] is another name to know in their frontcourt as well. They've got Sanderson High on their non-conference schedule this Tuesday before the Holiday Break.

Heritage High (5-3)

The Huskies have reeled off five consecutive victories since starting the season 0-3 and are in good shape as NAC 6 play approaches. 2025s [player_tooltip player_id='1613023' first='Jon' last='Mwanda'] and [player_tooltip player_id='2322735' first='Levi' last='Beckwith'] have them playing one as a solid one-two combination in the backcourt and frontcourt. Mwanda is posting 13.4 PPG, 4.2 RPG and 3.6 APG while Beckwith is producing 12.4 PPG, 7.3 RPG, 2.4 APG and 1.0 BPG. Another name to keep note of is 2026 wing/forward [player_tooltip player_id='2299826' first='Ryder' last='Strand']. He plays with a ton of energy when he's on the floor as a clean-up man and finisher in the painted area. He finished with 19 points in their 2-point win over Leesville Road this past Tuesday.

Millbrook High (3-4)

Don't let their overall record fool you. Three of the four losses for the Wildcats have come from NCISAA teams and in their non-conference scheduled games against Richmond County and New Hanover High. They're certainly not ducking any smoke with Highland School and John Marshall of Virginia still on the upcoming slate. It should do more than prepare them for a tough NAC 6 talent pool that continues to get better. [player_tooltip player_id='1272558' first='Colt' last='Langdon'] is producing 28.4 PPG while [player_tooltip player_id='1030027' first='Alex' last='Olander'] is posting 15.0 PPG. Look for them to find their identity by the time January and conference play arrives.
