Southern Durham High (6-1)
The Spartans are currently 6-1 on the year and 1-0 in the Northern Lake Conference standings following a 77-40 victory over Carrboro. Jackson Keith Jackson Keith 6'6" | CG Southern Durham | 2025 State #84 Nation and unsigned senior Camren Daniels Camren Daniels 6'5" | SG Southern Durham | 2024 State are off to a hot start with just one loss on the season so far. They got a big nonconference victory over Hillside this past weekend with Keith going for 30 points and 12 rebounds while Daniels finished with 22 points and three rebounds. As they find their success, so does the rest of the team as evidenced by the latest results.
South Granville High (5-1)
The Vikings are another early favorite in the Northern Lakes Conference as they’re also 1-0 in the standings. They notched a 70-45 victory over Vance County to kick off conference play back on Dec. 1 before rounding out their non-conference schedule. Oliver Roberts Oliver Roberts 6'3" | CG South Granville | 2024 State has his squad playing well at the lead guard spot, posting 14.0 PPG, 5.4 APG, 3.6 RPG and 1.6 SPG on 39 percent shooting from deep. Pierce Pettit Pierce Pettit 6'4" | SG South Granville | 2024 State leads the scoring charge with 16.4 PPG and 4.2 RPG on 37 percent shooting from deep. They’re a well-coached group with some young talent in 2025 Mason Brown Mason Brown 6'8" | C South Granville | 2025 State coming along as well.
Louisburg High (5-2)
The Warriors sit atop the Northern Lake Conference standings currently at 2-0 with victories over Vance County and JF Webb. Jakobe Edgerton Jakobe Edgerton 6'1" | CG Louisburg | 2026 has been the leading name for them, averaging 16.1 PPG, 5.6 RPG, 2.6 APG and 1.9 SPG while Tymar Kearney Tymar Kearney 6'3" | SF Louisburg | 2024 State is averaging 10.1 PPG and 6.9 RPG. They’re another well-coached group that plays tough led by head coach Michael Sheldon. Interestingly enough, the Warriors have outscored their opponents in conference play 103-80 so far heading into the holiday break.
