Here are the 2 newcomers that stood out:

Trey Benson, Memphis Business Academy: The 5-10 point guard is already a notable name in Class 2A after a 40-point performance in the team's win over Crosstown Tuesday night. Debuting at No. 59, Benson, a lefty, can make shots from the perimeter. That's an area he has instantly provided the Execs in his first game of the season. Benson can get into the lane. He has a quick, first-step. With this being his first opportunity to play varsity minutes, the Briarcrest transfer has the chance to show viewers that he's a solid talent in this class.

Wilson Luton, Knoxville Webb: Luton debuts at No. 90. The 6-2 shooting guard does a great job of moving without the basketball. So far this season for the Spartans, Luton has taken a lot of quality shots. He puts forth the effort on defense. Last weekend in the Allen Iverson Battle in the Bluff showcase event, Luton displayed the offensive threat he is, and his presence on the floor makes a difference.

2 interesting prospects

Owen Lentz, Knoxville Webb: Lentz stays inside the top 20 at No. 19. Lentz is an interesting prospect to keep an eye on because of his ability to play both guard positions. He's roughly 6-0, which is a good height for a guard. Lentz shoots the ball well. He moves well without the basketball. Lentz can make the right reads. Effort is always there. I think he's still scratching the surface. Lentz's best basketball hasn't arrived yet.

Axton Perry, Bartlett: Perry is getting solid minutes off the bench for the Panthers. At 6-5, he's long and agile, can get up and down the floor. Perry can alter shots at the rim. He plays with effort. Perry wants to play defense. He's currently at No. 51, but depending on his development, Perry could be one of the best forwards in this class.
