The group still has players who can make an impact at the next level, especially in Bergen County. Here are the 2024 top available prospects in Bergen County.
Isaiah Brown Isaiah Brown 6'1" | CG Don Bosco Prep | 2024 State NJ , 6’1 CG Don Bosco Prep
Brown is the top available player in Bergen County and is slated for a big senior season for the Ironmen. The 6’1 guard has a tight handle, which he uses to beat his defender off the bounce and get to the rim. Brown can finish in a variety of ways around the basket and can also score in the mid-range. He moves his feet on the defensive end and has the ability to play off the ball as well. Brown is a speedy, guard prospect who will be looking to make plays at both ends of the floor this season.
Evan O’Reilly Evan O’Reilly 6'3" | SG Ridgewood | 2025 NLG , 6’3 SG Ridgewood
O’ Reilly is primed for a strong senior season as he should get more touches on the offensive end. The 6’3 guard has a good handle, which he uses to get to the rim and finish. O’ Reilly moves well without the ball in his hands, freeing himself for open layups and jumpers in the halfcourt. He works hard on defense and is an underrated passer. O’ Reilly is a gritty guard prospect whose ability to score in the paint will help his stock in a big way.
Chris Cervino Chris Cervino 6'1" | PG Ramapo | 2024 State NJ , 6’0 PG Ramapo
Cervino played a big role in the Raiders’ group 3 title last season and will be a key part again in 2023-24. The 6’1 guard has a smooth release on his jumper and can knock down triples in bunches. Cervino is more than just a shooter as he can also get to the rim off the bounce and finish. He rarely makes bad decisions with the ball in his hands and gets deflections on defense. Cervino buried 76 triples as a junior and will be torching the nets from distance in his senior season.
Luke Gaccione Luke Gaccione 5'10" | PG St. Mary's (Rutherford) | 2025 NLG , 5’10 PG St. Mary’s (Rutherford)
Gaccione has been an integral part of the Gaels’ offense over the past couple of seasons and will do so again in his senior season. The 5’10 lefty has a good shooting stroke as he wastes little motion and can get hot from distance in a hurry. Gaccione rarely gets rattled by on-ball pressure and runs the offense efficiently. He also has the ability to play off the ball and is an underrated defender. Gaccione is a tough guard prospect who should make plays with the ball in his hands throughout the season.
Will Mensah Will Mensah 6'6" | PF Don Bosco Prep | 2024 State NJ , 6’6 PF Don Bosco Prep
Mensah is an intriguing prospect to watch with his combination of size, length and athleticism. The lanky 6’6 forward runs the floor hard, setting himself for easy dunks and layups in transition. Mensah sets good screens in the halfcourt and has a nice touch around the basket. He fights for rebounds on both ends of the floor and influences shots around the rim. Mensah is an athletic, forward prospect whose ability to impact the game around the rim is something that will help his stock in a big way this season.
