Kristopher Hill 2024 (Walther Christian Academy) 6’2
After losing a season because of a transfer rule. Hill is ready to break out this season. He’s a pass-first type of guard who seems to always playing a step ahead of the defense. He has a good-looking shot and has good body control to finish at the rim using either hand. As a defender he has good foot speed and stays in front of guys. He’s not afraid to get in the mix for rebounds. Hill has been patiently waiting for this season!
EJ Horton 2025 (Phillips) 6’3
Here is a transfer that most will hear about sooner rather than later. EJ is from Florida (Bartow). He’s stocky guard with lots of athleticism and a torch from beyond the arc. I just so happen to catch Horton in the fall league and he’s a stud for sure. A dead-eye catch-and-shoot guard who can also play above the rim. He has poise and doesn’t seem to be rattled by raucous crowds. He will not be unknown by the end of the season.
Micheal Woods 2027 (St. Francis De Sales) 5’11
As we watched all summer and fall the Illinois 2027 class looks to be special. With Woods choosing to attend St. Francis De Sales the class got even stronger. The younger brother of Northwest Indiana standout Jordan Woods, Mikey is a court-savvy PG who plays both sides of the ball with tenacity. Mikey has the ball on a string and controls the pace of games at a very young age. He shoots the ball from all three levels and if you blink you will miss one of his passes. I don’t believe it will be long before he’s mentioned with the top prospects in the class.
Ricky Coleman 2025 (Dyett) 6’2
Coleman has star qualities in his game. He is an energy player who makes big plays when his team needs them the most. Ricky plays well in the open court. He has athletic finishes at the rim using body control and good focus. Coleman is also a terrific shooter and will be reliable against zone defenses if he faces any this season. Expect to see Ricky get some colleges on him by season’s end.

2024 (Prosser) 6’3
Flowers is another player who blew up during the fall season going to various camps and showcasing his talents. Dwayne is a guard who plays with a chip on his shoulder. He is very exciting to watch with his slick handle plus the way he makes plays when getting in the lane it’s normally can’t-miss moments. As a scorer he can fill it up from all three levels. Flowers uses step-through and euro moves to beat guys off the bounce. Should have many coaches contacting him by the end of the season.
Zack Sharkey 2025 (Marian Catholic) 6’2
Zack is known by some but not all. He’s an efficient scorer whether he’s on or off the ball. He’s one of the few players who gets space from defenders using hard pass and shot fakes to score. He shoots the ball with good touch and technical mechanics. When on the move he uses angles well off down screens to get open looks. One of the better three-tier shooters in the East Suburban Catholic League. Should be a double-digit scorer this season.
