Earning extra possessions and closing out defensive sequences is something every coach wants to be elite at. Rebounding is an art form and here are the best to do in the state that are coming back.
Adam Rickman Adam Rickman 6'6" | SF Borgia | 2024 State MO (Borgia)
Rickman was dominant in this category last season. He had 301 rebounds on the year and led Borgia to a great season. The lefty is signed to play at Missouri S&T and has the type of versatility colleges love. He can pass, dribble, and shoot and has a high basketball IQ. A mismatch around the rim, he’s a better athlete than some may expect. Rickman uses his 6’6 frame, soft hands, and jumping ability to make a huge rebounding impact.
Oliver Kokal Oliver Kokal 6'6" | SF Parkway Central | 2024 State MO (Parkway Central)
Kokal is another player who has been productive for years. He has over 500+ rebounds through three seasons of varsity play and will look to finish in the 750-800 range before his career is all said and done. The South Dakota commit was a hidden gem in the region and it’s great to see a school of that caliber recognize his talent. He’s a versatile piece in the frontcourt and someone who can develop into a true wing with development.
Jacob Lafferty Jacob Lafferty 6'5" | PF Sparta | 2024 State MO (Sparta)
Lafferty is a powerfully built player who makes life difficult for others around the rim. His combination of strength and explosion makes him one of the best forwards in the state. He’s a double-double threat each night. He combines the physical traits with a great motor and these are two areas elite rebounders excel in. He and Sparta are set to have a great season. Lafferty can play at the next level.
Ben Winker

MO
(Chaminade)
Winker does a really good job of working the offensive glass and this is an area where his 6’10 size comes into play. He had a big game vs. top recruits on St. Rita in Highland last season and showcased putback dunk ability in Edwardsville during the month of June. He averaged 6.4 RPG for Chaminade last season and did while maximizing his minutes. He plays with high hands and excels in this part of the game.
Tristan Reed Tristan Reed 6'8" | PF John Burroughs | 2026 State MO (John Burroughs)
Rebounding is the best part of Reed’s game at this point in time. At 6’8 and growing he has the rare traits that help him carve out space around the rim. Wide shoulders, big hands, and activity level are all things that help him dominate the glass. His brother Trevor has graduated and this will open an ever bigger role for the elite sophomore. Reed is a Power 5 prospect because of his glass cleaning, defensive mentality.
