The Prep Hoops staff is taking a closer look inside Tennessee high school basketball programs, as they begin their 2023-2024 season. Our next team feature is Nolensville High.

Facing Fairview early in the season the Nolensville Knights attacked with balance. While [player_tooltip player_id='1121408' first='Jaden' last='Clark'] typically leads the team in scoring he endures a tolerable portion of the scoring burden. In fact, the Knights don't even need him to take the initial shot for them to thrive.

Clark scores points in a variety of ways: off rebounds, slashing, shooting 3's, free throws. This approach, a microcosm of the Knights at large, challenges defenses and defenders by keeping their basketball brains unsteady.

[player_tooltip player_id='1121408' first='Jaden' last='Clark'] is a quick second leaper.

Only a sophomore, [player_tooltip player_id='2636457' first='Kyson' last='Barney'] never looks outclassed. Sure he can she will improve as a varsity scorer, but his speed and dribbling capabilities serve the Knights adequately now.

[player_tooltip player_id='1121409' first='Lucas' last='Pring'] is a lean forward with nice height. He needs to become more physical and initiate contact sometimes. His shooting touch is marketable. A very different forward from Pring, Adam Mickulin gives a little mid-range and adds more strength defending and rebounding around the basket.

The sophomore class for NHS is tremendous: [player_tooltip player_id='2306628' first='Kael' last='Barney'], [player_tooltip player_id='2636457' first='Kyson' last='Barney'], [player_tooltip player_id='1959892' first='Bryant' last='Hall'] Jr., [player_tooltip player_id='1946924' first='Chris' last='Johnson'], [player_tooltip player_id='1947169' first='Oliver' last='Bender']. Since the seniors are more seasoned the 2026's will only see sporadic shine and yet they are certain to win a lot of games together in the coming years.
