We are days away from the start of the high school basketball season in the state of Arkansas. The state has plenty of talented players that are ready to open some eyes this season. We are going to highlight some prospects to keep an eye on throughout the course of the season.

Marco Smith-Power Forward-Fort Smith Northside-6'7” 2024

The Northside forward does not have a problem getting in the paint and battling for a rebound. Smith runs the floor well and finishes strong above the rim. He is a player that can knock he puts in the work. On the defensive end of the court, he does a good job of keeping his hands active and putting pressure on the opposing offensive player. He has the potential to have a big 2023 season and is a prospect to watch out for this season.

[player_tooltip player_id='2264594' first='Jarvis' last='Palmer Jr']-Combo Guard-Springdale-6'2” 2025

[player_tooltip player_id='2264594' first='Jarvis' last='Palmer Jr']. is a basketball player that has a smooth jump shot. He is a strong ball handler and does a great job of getting the ball to the open shooter. Palmer Jr. is the type of shooter than can heat up quickly from the court. He has the range to hit the deep three or he could just as easily drive through the lane and finish at the basket. The Springdale guard is a prospect that I expect to have a strong season this season.

KD Hicks-Point Guard-Little Rock Christian-6'1” 2027

One point guard to watch out for this upcoming season is Little Rock Christian's KD Hicks. Hicks distributes the ball well and seems to know where the open shooter is on the court at all times. Hicks stays active on both ends of the court and is a tough defender. He has the ability to force turnovers and cause problems on the defensive end. Meanwhile, Hicks does a great job of hitting jumpers and driving to the basket. He is a player to watch out for throughout the course of the season.

[player_tooltip player_id='2264733' first='Jordan' last='Rasberry']-Scoring Guard-White Hall-6'5” 2024

Jordan Rasbery is a guard that has a smooth jump shot and can hit from anywhere on the court. Rasberry is not sloppy with the basketball. He does an impressive job of finding the open shooter. Rasberry has the ball handling to keep opposing defenders off-balance. Meanwhile, on the defensive end of the court he will battle for the rebounds. Rasberry does a good job of staying active on both ends of the court. He is a player to watch out for this season.
