PICTURED: MJ Gibbs MJ Gibbs 6'4" | SG Ezell Harding | 2025 State TN (Ezell-Harding)
October always ushers in the @PrepHoopsTN Fall Combine. The Battle Ground Academy gym hosted high energy competition. All measurements/times are listed in the linked article.
Connor Arrington Connor Arrington 6'1" | SG Station Camp | 2027 State TN | SG | Station Camp | 2027
How did he measure against the competition?
- Class of 2027
- 6’1″ PG/SG
- Camp Ranking — #28
- State Ranking — Watch List
- Lane Agility — 12.60, 12.83
Quick shot release. Beautiful shooting motion. Connor released the ball high and again transitioned the ball from chest to release as quick as anyone. Technical player. Connor played like a competent high school 2-guard, a fringe varsity player at a 4A school in his freshman year to hazard a guess.
M.J. Gibbs | SG | Ezell-Harding | 2025
How did he measure against the competition?
- Class of 2025
- 6’4″ SG
- Camp Ranking — #15
- State Ranking — Top 85
- Standing Reach — 96″
A bouncy, versatile guard, MJ Gibbs MJ Gibbs 6'4" | SG Ezell Harding | 2025 State TN narrowly missed the All-Star cutoff. Don’t read too much into that. His size for the position and offensive potential are strong. Gibbs did not hit his outside shot and appeared to force it when it wasn’t there.
Ideally, Gibbs would be a secondary scorer on a powerful team. With Ezell-Harding he is likely the go-to guy. On its surface that is ok, but Gibbs needs to tighten up his shot selection and that is difficult to work on when your team needs you to score and score often.
Gibbs is a strong dude, and his camp performance did not fully show off this attribute. He could work more as a posting guard or offensive rebounder. Using that strength to overpower or establish some “block work” seems like an avenue for growth.
Davon Day | PG | Gallatin | 2026
- Class of 2026
- 5’8″ PG
- Camp Ranking — #32
- Sprint — 3.16, 3.11
- Hand Size — 8.25″ x 7.25″
- Lane Agility — 12.93, 12.43
Fast. Davon Day recorded two impressive 3/4-court sprint times (3.16, 3.11).
Assuming he remains an undersized point guard, Davon needs to become an elite shooter. His speed is bankable and exciting, but broadening his offensive capabilities will go a long way. Hard worker. Good court vision.
Micah Shaw Micah Shaw 6'0" | SG Stewarts Creek | 2025 State TN | SG | Stewarts Creek | 2025
How did he measure against the competition?
- Class of 2025
- 6’0″ SG
- Camp Ranking — #7
- State Ranking — Top 150
- PrepHoopsTN Combine All-Star
Flamed the nets just after lunch. Micah hit deep three after deep three. It was tremendous.
There was an argument made for Micah Shaw Micah Shaw 6'0" | SG Stewarts Creek | 2025 State TN to be named PrepHoopsTN Combine MVP. Shaw’s shooting was special for a couple of games of 5v5, but his leadership and gregarious personality proved even more impactful.
Shaw might be a combo guard. It is tricky, because he is very strong and built like a high school linebacker, more so than a throwback point guard.
Elite basketball mind. Great offensive awareness. Commits defensively. He can probably guard the 1-3 at the high school level.
Anthony Wiggins Anthony Wiggins 5'11" | PG Pope Prep | 2027 State TN | PG | Pope Prep | 2027
How did he measure against the competition?
- Class of 2027
- 5’11” PG
- Camp Ranking — #13
- State Ranking — Watch List
- @PrepHoopsTN Combine All-Star
Speedy. Wiggins was one of the youngest campers but earned his way onto the All-Star team with aggressive, confident guard play.
When shooting or building into his shot, Wiggins keeps his lower body quiet, balanced. Wiggins projects as kind of a Kemba Walker-type. Scoring, speedy point guard.
Neyland Dugger Neyland Dugger 6'3" | SG Powell | 2025 State TN | SG | Powell | 2025
How did he measure against the competition?
- Class of 2025
- 6’2″ SF/SG
- Camp Ranking — #25
- State Ranking — Watch List
Decent shooter. Dugger moved well away from the basketball. Neyland can be a catch-and-shoot guy, but his day needed a faster revving motor. Neyland rebounded ok. He owns the skill to be a double-figure scorer for Powell this season. A key will be persistence, offensive aggression.
Willing passer.
Landon Bryant Landon Bryant 6'4" | SG LaVergne | 2025 State TN | SG | LaVergne | 2025
How did he measure against the competition?
- Class of 2025
- 6’2″ SG
- Camp Ranking — #1
- State Ranking — Top 30
- PrepHoopsTN Combine All-Star
- PrepHoopsTN Combine MVP
Versatile. Vocal. He is going to be a fantastic college guard. Landon became a little handsy defensively. His hand checks would fly in pickup or at the YMCA, but high school refs in middle Tennessee call those often. Bryant was stuck guarding shorter guards most of the day, and perhaps he was using his hands to compensate for a little quickness deficiency. There is no lack of athleticism, but Landon’s strides and slides are bigger steps than many of the guards. He will need to keep enhancing his quickness to keep his college prospect value high. Long strides. Nimble. As a shooter, LB kept his balance very steady when working on step-back and side-step jumpers. His release came out quick. Good arch. Landon dribbled quite well with his off-hand (left-hand). Bryant boasts above average natural strength though he will need to add muscle to his frame for the next level. The elegance and size for his position make him a surefire college prospect.
