Okay, I know we are three days into the season. However, we at Prep Hoops still need to give you who we feel our preseason All-state players are. This time we will look at Class 4A. This is the class that has the best basketball from top to bottom. This was definitely a hard team to pick but we made it happen. Here are our preseason picks.

*All players are listed in alphabetical order

1st Team

[player_tooltip player_id='1105539' first='Javon' last='Johnson'] (6'2" | Bossier | 2024)

[player_tooltip player_id='1387999' first='Lionel' last='Larvadain'] (6'0" | McMain | 2024)

[player_tooltip player_id='1105593' first='Jordan' last='Mathews'] (6'5" | Peabody | 2024)

[player_tooltip player_id='1347267' first='Drew' last='Timmons'] (6'5" | Archbishop Hannan | 2025)

[player_tooltip player_id='1105554' first='Kameron' last='Williams'] (6'7" | LCA | 2024)

[player_tooltip player_id='1105554' first='Kameron' last='Williams'], 2024's top player, has led Lafayette Christian to Marsh Madness his previous three seasons. The Tulane commit will need to have another big season to close the deal on a title for LCA. [player_tooltip player_id='1347267' first='Drew' last='Timmons'], the top player in the 2025 class has one championship. He will look to add another one this season while maintaining the play that has kept him at the top. [player_tooltip player_id='1105539' first='Javon' last='Johnson'] will be the lead guard on a Bossier Bearkat squad looking to defend their title. He has some refined point guard skills to go with his shooting which will make him very dangerous this year. [player_tooltip player_id='1387999' first='Lionel' last='Larvadain'] is the most explosive point guard in the Boot. His ability to finish above the rim makes him exciting to watch. [player_tooltip player_id='1105593' first='Jordan' last='Mathews'] is the best hybrid big Louisiana has. He can score inside and out while rebounding on both ends almost at will.

2nd Team

[player_tooltip player_id='1560388' first='Christian' last='Creppel'] (6'4" | Archbishop Shaw | 2024)

[player_tooltip player_id='1394530' first='Daijon' last='Leatherman'] (6'8" | Carver | 2025)

[player_tooltip player_id='1105592' first='Colossians' last='Mason-Jones'] (6'0" | BTW-Shreveport | 2024)

[player_tooltip player_id='1275303' first='Jordan' last='Matthews'] (5'10" | Vandebilt Catholic | 2025)

[player_tooltip player_id='1105548' first='Michael' last='Mouton'] (6'4" | St. Thomas More | 2024)

[player_tooltip player_id='1394530' first='Daijon' last='Leatherman'] was the anchor on a Carver squad who won a state title last season. His improved offense, while still providing stellar defense, should be big for the Rams this year. [player_tooltip player_id='1105548' first='Michael' last='Mouton'] is as steady as it gets. I look for him to improve his scoring and being more vocal on the court in his final campaign. [player_tooltip player_id='1275303' first='Jordan' last='Matthews'] may be the best pure point guard in his class. He can pass and shoot which should keep defenders off balance all season. [player_tooltip player_id='1560388' first='Christian' last='Creppel'] can score from the mid-range in. His ability to run the floor and rebound will help him be a player to watch this season. [player_tooltip player_id='1105592' first='Colossians' last='Mason-Jones'] filled it up all summer for Coach Kenny Sykes. His ability to play with or without the ball in his hands will make him a pleasure to watch this season.

As the season progresses, look for these players to be the focal point of their programs as they all try to win a state title for their respective schools.
