Phillip Jones Phillip Jones 5'10" | PG University City | 2027 State MO (University City)
Jones was a pleasant surprise for this new look U-City squad. A wiry guard who plays hard on both ends and has some ability with the rock in his hands. He scored 14 points and showed a lot of poise in the process. A quick player who projects as a dynamic two-way scorer moving forward. The 2027 prospect was as good as any freshman playing on the day.
Xavier Morrison Xavier Morrison 6'3" | SF Francis Howell Central | 2026 State MO (Francis Howell Central)
Morrison has great length for a sophomore wing and made a good amount of plays attacking the basket. He’s a smooth athlete at 6’6 and shows good touch. A capable playmaker and defender. He was one of their better players and will have a key role on this team. He’s given the freedom to create and make plays in this system. Morrison will be one of the better wings in the conference as he grows older.
Brandon Clemens (MICDS)
Clemens was one of the best players in attendance regardless of class. The super quick sophomore was dialed in from the mid-range. He plays at a high rate of speed and his motor never stops. His fundamentals as a shooter are advanced and he can make tough transition buckets. Brandon scored 17 points on the night and looks ready to be a top player in the conference. He has made a big jump after a great freshman season.
Jason Stokes Jason Stokes 6'3" | SG MICDS | 2026 State MO (MICDS)
Stokes was another sophomore that excelled for Travis Wallace. He’s a longer guard/wing who plays defense and has a 3 and D skill set. He made two threes on the night and connected on a beautiful euro step layup in transition. He’s a really good athlete and it was nice to see him in the starting lineup. He’s a part of this 2026 core that will be really good for MICDS both now and into the future.
Carlaun Nelson (Miller Career)
Nelson is a sophomore who has reached double figures in every game so far this season. He’s a tough player that scored 13 points on Monday. An energizer bunny that flies around the court and makes a lot of impressive plays. It’s easy to see why he has earned the trust of his coaches as a sophomore. A nice looking prospect from the PHL league.
