Aman Kesete Aman Kesete 6'3" | SG Capital City | 2024 State MO (Capital City): A 6’3″ shooting guard who is an impressive bucket from many spots on the floor. He has a nice pull up from the mid range area and he could also wiggle his way into the lane to score in traffic. He was also knocking down 3-pointers off the catch. He was very good at creating his shot off the dribble if his team needed a bucket.
Nehemiah Hamilton (Capital City): A 5’11” point guard who has good physical strength and plays with toughness. He gets low on the dribble when he’s penetrating into the lane to make a play. He can score in traffic and take on the contact with his stout body. He is also a very good on-ball defender who can apply the pressure.
Colten Pound (Newburg): An excellent point guard who was one of the most impressive passers that I watched during the weekend. He made the pocket pass on the pick and roll and he also had some nifty no-look dimes through traffic. He was passing his teammates open. He also had smooth handles and he can also get a bucket from all three-levels. I like how he elevates on his jumper.
Dontae Harris (Newburg): A smooth shooting guard who was knocking down shots in the victory over Owensville. He hit multiple 3-pointers as he moved well without the ball and did his work to get shot ready when he caught the ball. He also has a quick first step, which he used to get by defenders into the lane.
Sean Adams (Capital City): A 6’6″ forward who has plenty of length and bounce and he used both of them very effectively. He also has a quick jump inside which enabled him to block shots. He was also very active on the boards at both ends of the court.
Layne Evans (Owensville): A 6’1″ guard who scored a team-high 15 points in his team’s loss to Newburg. He was constantly in attack mode, whether he was driving in the half court game or when he grabs the rebound and takes off on a coast to coast drive to the basket. He also knocked down a couple of 3-pointers in a row to compliment his drive game.
